Great video. Saved me a ton of money. I also had the problem with the ball coming through the top. I would not have know how to fix it without your advice in the video. Thanks man.

I'm posting the day after the repair and I changed the old ball joint with the new one. Now what made the job hard was that I was trying to get it out in reverse. So placing the cup on top of the head of the joint. Then the threaded part goes with the other thread, and out it comes! after some good hard turning. A good long breaker is important. Mechanic wanted 322.00 to do the job and I did it with a 55 dollar ball joint from autozone.

I'd like to know where you got your channel lock clip pliers for $10... I had to buy another pair just today because the spring went flying out of my old ones. Anyway I paid $32 for mine. Actually I got a refund for my old set being life time but they had to refund me and purchase again because they couldn't figure out how to do it. All the same gotta have them. I just replaced ball joints on 2000 Nissan and I couldn't use my bearing tool. I had to beat them out which is why I wanted to watch this video and see how hard they are to remove. Definitely appreciate the video.

Bought my pliers at princess auto if you're in canada.. the USA store equivalent is harbor freight.

@@dr.greenwrench2377 I guess not gonna be able to get them that cheap here. I got mine at Lowe's. Channel lock brand is my favorite when it comes to pliers. I've tried more expensive brands that don't hold a candle to them.
