I will never get rid of what I consider my Mount Rushmore of Toybiz BAFs: Apocalypse, Giant Man, Sentinel, and Galactus.

ToyShiz, I also have mad respect for the Toybiz line of Marvel figures. The paint apps and sculpt were tremendous . The value was there as well. I am on the fence with the Haslab Giant Man. I do not have him in any form in my collection and I am an olde school comics fan. He does hava definete appeal. I did appreciate seeing your Giant Man as he is quality 👍✌️

I'm just waiting for Haslab to make a Fin Fang Foom, now THAT would be an investment.

Many times I prefer toy biz over hasbro they were the best toy company ever. I completely understand what you mean about the handcrafted nature and it was a time when you could hunt toys in the wild which is almost extinct now it used to be like going on a safari now it’s more like a canned hunt

I think they knocked it out of the park with the Haslab--classic look with modern flourishes and the articulated hands look natural. I'm also for keeping other figures out as other tiers to keep the costs down and to focus on the Haslab itself. Backed it as soon as I was able to and can't wait to have it stomping villains in my collection next year.

The new Haslab is going to be the apology Haslab.

I own mine and still love it (best BAF ever IMO), but I am SUPER excited for the Haslab. He’s called GIANT-Man for a reason! I don’t need him to be Galactus height, but ~20 inches would be a fantastic upgrade!

I think your comparison to the Toybiz Sentinel is going to be the scale they shoot for with a new big Pym. 20-24” so just shorter than Haslab Sentinel. I too enjoy that Hand Crafted look. I think NECA has kind of lost that charm too in the digital renders sculpt to finished toys. This Toybiz Giant Man fits well in a display. A 24” Giant Man is going to be taking a knee to get the pic. I’m sure it will be a good offering but over $200 and I’d rather buy more GI Joes.

A new Giant Man figure is appropriate as we head into the Halloween season as he one of the worst characters in Marvel Zombies.

I respect everyone's love and admiration for the toys they collect BUT I have to HARD disagree. I hear this sentiment a lot and I think it's all just nostalgia. That's it. I'm a relatively new collector and I think 90% of those old toybiz toys are, at best interesting to look at, on average trash, sculpt included. Sure pricing was better but that's true for everything 15 years ago. Has articulation taken a 15 year leap in advancement? In terms of number and range, not really. But in terms of profile and aesthetic, absolutely. Have sculpts improved? Quality, yes. Amount, no. But I will never understand the love for these older outdated toys that more engrained collectors have, outside of nostalgia or just liking the very 'classic' look that those toys represent today. The appeal is going right over my head.
