What are the signs of bad engine mounts?

Hi, which brand mount did you use? Also, was there a need to use locktite blue green or red?

It was a aftermarket brand I believe from rockauto and no lock tight needed but if you choose to, go with medium strength

What kind of difference did this repair make ? I’ve already replaced the hydraulic top motor mount and felt no real difference. There is also a third mount on the back of the transmission I believe. So what did this do for you?

The engine had excessive movement when I put the car in drive or reverse and made a clunking noise when put in gear. The mounts fixed it

From the video, I could not see any tears in the motor mount. I guess you listened for noises to find the bad mount, or was it experience with other escapes that led you to the problem?

@@jaydee3046 sometimes they are not obviously broken but if you put it in gear the engine moves a lot or sometimes you can move the mount easily by hand. You shouldn't be able to. Thanks for watching please Subscribe if you haven't already
