In this DIY repair video we go thru diagnosing the cause for a loss of system sounds on the Chevrolet Cobalt, or Pontiac G5 models. This is a pretty common failure on these GM car models, where the front left door speaker has stopped functioning. When this occurs you lose sounds such as the turn signal / blinker feedback sound, door ajar / open chime sound, etc. Starting in model year 2007 these sounds were routed thru the front left (drivers side) door speaker instead of a separate chime module like earlier models. The vehicle illustrated is a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS sedan. However, this front door internal trim panel removal and speaker replacement procedure will be the same for any Chevy Cobalt or Pontiac G5 in the years this video covers.
