In this video we will go over how to replace a defective driver information center (DIC) display switch on the dashboard of GMT900 Chevrolet and GMC SUVS and trucks for these model years. These switches unfortunately commonly fail in various ways after several years of use. The same switch part number is used on Cadillac SUVs as well, but is located in a different area of the dash and so disassembly for those models are not shown in this video.
The truck illustrated is a 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche LT, but the repair procedure will be the same for any GMT900 style 2007 thru 2014 SUV or truck of the GMT900 series with this same feature and trim. Both Chevrolet and GMC, for Tahoe, Yukon, Avalanche, Yukon XL, and Suburban models.
