today I'm showing you how to remove a door panel from a 2011 jeep compass.
tools needed are a 10mm socket, T20 screwdriver, T20 ratchet bit, and a tool to pop panels

Thanks for the help man. Broke my wife's interior door handle off, I had no idea where to begin. Ive always worked on cars/trucks 1980's and older. I didn't want to break shit. But this video helped alot. Much appreciated.

Very helpful, thank you. I need to find out if my prob is the mirror or the switch preventing it retracting.So I will swap the switch first. The mirrors have nylon gears and I believe they fail quicker than they should. I've had one changed already under warranty.

Which holes are attached to the regulator a and which to the door, also which position should the motor be in?

Hey Corey just want to say thank you for your KZfaq video very helpful was able to take apart the whole driver's panel and replace my wife door handle that opens the door cuz she broke it LOL wasn't for you I would have stripped and broke every nut bolt there was and clips thank you kindly Mike from Massachusetts word brother

Hey I hope you see this message! I am needing to replace the passenger door mirror, just the mirror, I understand its 3 nuts holding it on, and then the pigtail wiring, does the door panel need to come off in order to have access to the 3 nuts and pig tail connection? its 2011 Jeep Compass, thanks

Thanks, that is what i needed to know! I am replacing the window motor on the passager side...any tips on this would be appreciated.

take a mental note of where everything is and when you have everything removed lift the door skin in an upwards motion to get it off the door... they are not press clipped like most doors. The compass has been the most involved door panel that i have done. i can get them on and off 10 mins each now tho lol. if you get stuck feel free to message me I have also made a detailed pictorial I can give you the link to.

Samento1 sorry I can’t confidently answer this as my knowledge with car electrical systems ends at the audio system. The fact that the motor is still working to lower the window I would guess that it is the relay or switch.

My 07 does not have any screws at the door handle or anywhere else visible. My window is stuck down and it is -20 Celsius. Fun times.

My outer handle is not opening the door but the inside handle opens it. Not sure if I need to remove the door panel or not now.

Ivan Drago sounds like the wire linkage has somehow come undone (popped out or broke) you will need to remove the panel to service it however it’s really tight access to the outside handle. So it will now be easy to service if it broke at the handle if It came off the latch that’s pretty accessible

If the screw where the door handle is is stripped what do you recommend?

Try a small flathead if that doesn’t work you can also try hammering a small torx bit into it that may bite enough to turn it out or find a tool called ez-out or if all else flails I have resorted to drilling the head of the screw off and then useing pliers to remove the screw after the panel has been removed

I take my speak grit off first and put all the screws and parts in the grit so they don’t get lost

Patraic Emery hey I don’t have cranks on mine! but on most cars that I have worked on if you look at the under side of the crank there will either be a small slot to fit a flat head screwdriver in or may need to cut a 1/2~3/4 slot into a old credit card and jam it between the door and the crank Handle to pop the retaining clip out then the Handle pops off and then you can slide the door skin off. Hope this helps!
