2007 BMW X3 DIESEL fuel pump replacement

Couldn't find any YT videos on replacing the fuel pump on a BMW X3 diesel, so I made my own. This is a common rail diesel so the fuel pump is NOT a high pressure pump, that's the biggest difference compare to a gas engine.

Where can I purchase a 2008 3.0 BMW X3 fuel pump just like this one at a reasonable price ? AMAZON ?????

Don't know the country you live in, the fuel pump for common rail diesel engines is crucial for the engine to be running right, so I got a BMW factory pump from a company in Germany. If you have a gasoline Beemer you could get a cheap Chinese copy, but they wont last as long as a factory one.

Why you don't show how the pump take out from the tank ? 😃😃😃😃 Why you skip this part ?

Thanks for commenting but unless i put a camera and a light inside the tank there is no way to show how to remove the pump from inside the tank, my hand and arm cover up the hole. But @ 7:54 in the video I'm showing how to use your fingers to loosen the plastic clip that holds the pump inside the tank.

What problems did you have with the car, before changing the pump? Did the car struggle to start?

@@vr5803 Sorry for a late answer, not really a problem but i could hear sometimes that the pump had a different sound when you turn the ignition on. As a auto tech for over 20 years I knew the pump was about to give up.
