The Chevrolet Tahoe is the bestselling full-size SUV in America, and it was completely re-engineered for the 2007 model year. The new design includes revised exterior and interior styling, improved chassis and steering, and segment-leading fuel economy thanks to the new line of Active Fuel Management-equipped V8 engines. Chevrolet's goal is to keep the Tahoe at the top of the full-size SUV sales charts.
The Tahoe has long had a lot going for it, including several first-place finishes in its class in the J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Survey. Competing against vehicles like the Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia, the new version brings a handsome exterior, luxury-level interior and markedly improved ride and handling to the party.

It aged extremely well. The newer generations all have carry over characteristics from its predecessor.

Where I work at now in 2020, in a auto recycling center, I starting to see these 07 tahoes getting dismantled and scrapped. We just scrapped like 6 of these suvs.

We still have our 2007 LT3. 164000 miles Just had to replace the alternator and normal wear and tear items. Everything else is working as new

I love my 2007 Tahoe! Best ship ever! 185,685 miles and still rides like the day I bought it back in 2008!!!

I love these things. I can't explain the smile on my mom's face after driving a new Tahoe after having a minivan, She hasn't gone back since. There is a reason these are so popular!

I love my Tahoe! Got mine 3 years ago, and guess what there couldn't be any better SUV compared to this one. Luxury, comfort, safety and above all, my whole family loves it! Roomy interior, commanding view, extremely smooth ride are all this only one car can offer. Would never part with mine, no matter what.

I don't understand after all these year why the full size GM/Chevrolet SUV's don't have the third row seat that folds flat? You have to actually remove the third row seat if you want a flat rear floor to carry stuff, that's stupid! If you're out somewhere shopping, say at home depot or something and you have to pick something up and you need that flat floor, you're stuck. The Ford Expedition and Nissan Armada's third row seat folds flat!

Rode in one today. Nice roomy interior, well finished off. Lousy gas mileage even with the cylinder shut off feature. The 5.3 gave 13 to 16 mpg in mixed driving. Ride was smooth on smooth roads, but bouncy on the rough pavement. Great seats, and a real highway cruiser.

Ford Expedition is competitor to Tahoe, not Explorer. Also, Explorer, now a Volvo based Chassis is now a cross-over,no longer a truck based, full frame construction. That means, it's essentially a car, raised up tall, to look truck like, but is not really a truck. The Ford Expedition is still full frame.

I have a 2010 and hate the 4 cylinder mode. Noticable lag when you give it gas and it switches to v8. Other than that and the weird popping you get while listening to music with the usb it is a decent suv though!

blackriflex39 programmer or AFM disabler from range technology it's about 200 bucks but worth it . Just plug into obd port and take it off when u go to dealer

I got a used 07' Colorado about a year ago, so far I am very pleased with it. I have owned some pretty nice cars before hand, a 89 Skyline, Infi' G36, but when I decided to go to Truck's I as really surprised. I think the next vehicle I am getting will be a Chevy again. Probably the Tahoe.

This Car looks so agressive from the front, just like the BMW X6 dmn, if the fuel wouldnt so fucking expensive, i would get one of the tahoe.

@44excalibur yeah, the 4 door blazer was the mid size suv that came with a v6, the four door full size truck was called the Tahoe, and 2 door full size was called the S10 Blazer, the blazer was a 4 door mid size SUV, think about it the two door version was called the S10 blazer, they slaped on 2 extra doors and they couldn't have left it as a S10 because it wasn't, they couldn't have left it as blazer because there was already a blazer, so they gave a name, tahoe

I like how the rear seat is removeable where in the expedition it isnt. I never move more than 4 or 5 people anyway so taking those heavy seats out an then using it like its an enclosed pickup truck bed is way better

@TheMikentyty yes actually, you have to get the 6.0L 2500 version though. That makes gives it the highest towing capicity of any new SUV, now that the Seqioa's towing decreased to 7000lbs

@pauchara Hey, the Tahoe was not made to have all the luxury flow to it, its a sport utility. If you want to compare, go talk about the Escalade it a luxury SUV.

Standard features include air conditioning w/dual-zone climate controls, rear air conditioning and heater, tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel w/radio controls, cruise control, 6-way power driver seat, compass, and outside-temperature indicator.

@Sherwin930 the z71 package would be better, with its offroad suspension and rear locking differential and protective skid plates, but you should be able to do light offroading with just 4WD

remarkable that a car that big can do 20+ mpg. the european competitors like audi q7 with a 4.2 litre engine do 20 mpg or worse.

It depends. If I had to deal with mountain and snow all the time, a Tahoe would come great, but if i lived in the south the Dodge Caravan would do great.

I drive a Nissan altima and although I love import cars I'm a sucker for American trucks and SUVs. My brother drives a chevy trailblazer he loves it and I really like it but he wants upgrade to a tahoe 1 day, i can see why :)

I'm perplexed. Can someone answer this for me? Why is it do 75% of the Tahoe, Escalade and Yukon owners not use their turn signals when turning? Is it because they just don't work? Or is it because they think their better than everyone else? These trucks are nothing but big expensive chrome plated plastic bathtubs. I don't get it.

Wing mirror should be fitted four camera to watch front and rear and adjustable and heated lance too and under each door lamp when open can see puddle and rear parking camera is fine .distance metre to measure distance any object at least 100 meter front and rear too.

@patrick560sl The Expedition has the Microsoft Sync system in it and you can use most of it without paying a fee! Unlike OnStar, after the first year, you have to start paying and even when the free for a year thing is still going on, you have pay a certain amount of money each month (or year) to use like the Turn-by-Turn Navigation and shit like that.

Expedition and Tahoe are in the same segment. The explorer is more on par with the equinox.

@kendrickevans301 But why change the name? I remember that they also made 4-door Blazers in the 90's, so why did they need to change it to Tahoe? The name Blazer is iconic. Look at the Dodge Charger. Chrysler added two more doors to that car to make it a four-door, but it's still called a Charger. I just think the old name is better.

Luxury interior my ass! I ve just compared head to head Tahoe for $53K and Nissan Armada Platinum for $52K... Day and night! Tahoe looks and feels cheap inside! No sensors! Leather crap you should see Armadas! Navigation 5 year old in Tahoe...please! And it has smaller doors as well! I just love how new Tahoe looks! Total killer on the road! Not worth buying new though! Used would save you lots of money!

there recent interiors have been pretty good, compare the 2007 tahoe interior with an 2006 tahoe interior, the 07 looks better, has better plastics, and better fit and finish, same goes when comparing a 2005 impala to a 2006 impala

thats not really an accurate comparison, the expedition's main rival would have to be either the gmc yukon xl or the chevy suburban. not the tahoe. the tahoe was on par with explorer for size + practicality. i dont get it.

Chevrolet's Suburban is similar to the Tahoe, but I know the Tahoe has a hybrid system, but the suburban doesn't.

@donzaliko Thanks, Its kind of scary to have the undercovers though, cuase their sirens are loud and it looks like any regular tahoe (it was silver with deep tints). My cousin cut one off (it was silver with deep tints), it stopped us because they thought we were in a stolen car. Scary!!! Bought I love the undercovers though.
