This is my first car that i bought at 19 and i love my v6 4.0 its really fun and attractive to the public eye

I can respect a v6, in the sense of, you gotta start somewhere. It's a great car to start out with as a first car. The insurance is cheaper, and when you have to pay that yourself, you appreciate the cheaper option lol

I drive a v6 for Insurance because of my age. Its not slow tbh. 210 horsepower is not bad for a v6 car since back then like 1991 Mustang v8's were 220 horsepower stock. Also my V6 mustang saved my life from an awful crash so no way im getting rid of it. If you're truly a car enthusiast, you wouldnt care about someone driving a v6 unless theyre douche bags who think theyre the fastest. All my friends drive brand new 2013 Subaru Wrx's and 2016 Mustang V8's but they respect I drive a V6 because I care for it, weekly check on it, and im not a douche and brag about it. Half of Mustang owners dont even know where the Mustang name came from so that shows you a lot. Don't hate on the V6 till you met the owner.

I am 65 years old and own one of these 2007 Mustangs with 53,000 miles.. I always wanted one when I was younger. This car is great. You get many looks when driving. People really do want to be you behind the wheel.

I just purchased an 07 V6 Mustang as my first car and been saving up for it, insurance sucks but it’s worth it.

I've had my mustang for a good while now and let me tell you, it does turn heads. It has enough get up to keep up with the slower boys, some of the older cars and even some slower V8's of that era believe it or not, and still fun to drive. Granted I do have the 5-speed version and that just adds more to the fun, it makes the car feel faster than what it is due to feeling more connected to the car. I came from a g35 to this mustang and to be honest I love this car more. Yes the g35 had about 100 horses more but that whole time I'd floor the car I felt like it was more of a responsibility and danger. The Mustang doesn't feel unstable, the parts aren't taxed out the ass due to high demand and the older women love it ;). Also cops seem to like it more for it's American-ess I guess. I felt like they would look at me more like a menace when driving my g35, LOL, lots of thumbs ups! Another thing, a lot of people are going to give you shit about this car no doubt, the V8 jokes are going to be endless, just get yourself with the right people who enjoy cars for their looks and what you make of it, not some ass clown who can barely keep up with his payments on his new 5.0 with his 550 credit score, take pride in what YOU got. The aftermarket scene for these cars is fair to good, a lot of good OEM style parts for the cheap, a good muffler will make the car sound great without over doing it. There isn't much to do in regards to power so make the car look and sit pretty. A real car enthusiast and Mustang lover will set aside the engine and really enjoy the cleanliness and sleek design of this beautifully built piece of Modern American art.

Regardless of HP Mustangs are Cool. I just bought a 07 V6 automatic, Alloy metallic Grey for under 7K with 108K mileage, and I'm doing 80+ at the top of the on ramp. This car does 100 without fear connected, its made & confident for speed. I'm satisfied, yet I really wanted a manual. Such is life. I'm hoping for a GT 07-09 models because I like the S197 body style. I've yet to go on a highway trip, but am getting 21 city & so far 26.2 highway once.

I have one of these in a droptop, and I love it. Sure, it's not setting any records, but it's nice cruiser in the summer. Being a girl means I don't get shit for having a v6 either...

I'm an old guy who always wanted a 1965 289 V8 mustang. I figured for my needs this mustang would be hopelessly under powered and a bit of a joke. Truth told, I've been having a blast owning this car! I'd say get the pony package absolutely, leather, fog lights...

I'm age 63 and just retired. I want a classic first generation Chevrolet Nova convertible. The market for those is such that you will end up investing $40k minimum to own one that is marginally driveable. The most economical modern alternative is an 05-10 Mustang. I'm purchasing a 2007 Premium convertible V6 automatic with Pony Package. Odometer shows 68k miles. Drives great and better yet STOPS when braking - a REAL advantage over mid-60's Novas. We will have better suspension, electronic ignition, fuel injection, power disc brakes, leather seats, modern seat belts, airbags, and side door beams for $11k. Still love Novas, but cannot justify the cost so long as S197 Mustangs are available.

I had one in hs with the exact paint scheme. Sexy looking car. I would always get complements on the car; Good times. I drive a Corvette Z06 now, and I have a Mustang GT daily driver.

If you can get the 4.0 with a 5 spd manual, then spend @ $1K on suspension, induction & exhaust upgrades, you'll have a halfway decent touring machine.

Alright im 14, I cant drive yet, I do consider myself a enthusiast though, as I do know quite a lot about cars. I would love to have a 2005-2009 V6 mustang, I dont see the hate. Like sure, it doesn't have a V8, so what, if you want a V8, buy a V8 model, or just swap a V8 into it. But V6 engines aren't a joke, you can get some decent power out of them.

My first was a brand new V6 shortly after graduating HS in 1997. At the time being young and inexperienced I had to go V6 because of insurance costs !! I couldn't wait to get behind the wheel of a burbling V8 though & in 02 I traded that V6 for a 00 GT and now I have a low miles 06 GT. As long as I have a Stang, it will have a V8 ! I will never go back !

If it's your first RWD car then it's a wise choice. Especially if you're going to upgrade to the V8 version eventually because you'll be used to the live axle handling and the chassis. Some would suggest a Miata but if you're getting the same chassis Mustang then the V6 would be the better choice.

A V6 mustang is my dream car but my main concern is where I live it snows and rain a lot in the winter and since a V6 is rear wheel drive that would be a really bad idea for me to have it as a daily driver

I'm an old lady I've had mine for years. Its a 2002 base model and people think it's really fast or very expensive. lol I added mods and people go wow!, That car must cost a lot. No, actually the book value is around $1,500. Lol My daughter said Mom whatever you do don't buy a convertible and look like some of those old people. Lol I work on my own cars and enjoy it. I have a 1968 390 4 speed fastback like Bullit, lots of fast cars that are real fast. The v6 mustang is perfect driver car it gets more raod time than anything. Not much fun driving a 700 horsepower car everywhere everyday
