Thanks for highlighting the connector. Saved some aggravation... I damn near destroyed it.

If I’m not mistaken the Kia spectra was renamed to the Kia Forte but now it’s called the Kia k3

Hello, where is the internal evaporator temperature sensor located? Can you explain to me its location in a video? I have a Kia Cerato, it looks like the Spectra, but I have a problem with disconnecting the wire of the sensor. I did not find the location of the sensor. I do not know where it is.??

It’s a lot from the parts store contains the driver and a multitude of different bits.

It's the resistor. Pull it out, disconnect, flip it over, use some cleaner and an old toothbrush to clean if the resistor terminals.. good to go.. ive fixed about 50 of them just by doing this, not once has the motor needed replacement

How hard is it to get the resistor out? Is the wire to it hard to disconnect like the one to the fan is? Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't understand? So you got the fan work but replace new one? I have same car as your and it doesn't blow like yours and how do i know if blow motor went out?
@georgiaautoservice26654 жыл бұрын
Lucky Pitbull great question. The contacts wear out on this vehicle. You can wiggle the blower motor connector and 9 out of 10 times it will start to work again. I replaced the blower motor because I knew it was going to quit working again. If wiggling the blower motor connector doesn’t work, check for 12 volts mad ground at blower motor connector. If 12 volts are shown then the blower motor is bad. A test light or volt meter will be needed to check voltage.

Just replace the blower and still doesn't work. I check the fuse box and they are good. What could be causing this? Will last option would be resistor?
@georgiaautoservice26654 жыл бұрын
Lucky Pitbull you need to verify voltage (12 volts) going to blower motor. Normally a blower resistor will only cause the blower to not work on one setting. Again, you need to verify voltage first. You may have a blower switch issue:

O man..I took out the resistor and found out pigtail connector is blown. I've tried junkyard see if they got just the connector from spectra and both of 2 cars has blown pigtail too. I cant find the connector. Do you know where can I get it beside dealership?

Turns out my case was a loose connection on the left-most side. All I did was tap it and the fan kicked in. Scared the crap out of me. 2007 Spectra EX
@georgiaautoservice26652 жыл бұрын
Never underestimate the good ole “tap test”. That’s what happened with this one. I went ahead and replaced it as in most cases it will stop working again.
@MrDmadness Жыл бұрын
That's your resistor, tapping it shakes the corrosion loose from its terminals, take the resistor out, clean it up with an old toothbrush and re install and it will stay fixed
