Don't know that you'll see this comment, but dayum man, hope you've enjoyed it in all these years. This damn car blew my mind when I was a kid, the 5th gen redesign. It was like seeing the classic 60s car revived and totally reignited my love for Mustangs even more than the late 90s early 2000s had. I still like seeing these on the road. I've got a 2023 of my own now. These cars are really special, just driving it puts a smile on my face and I am NOT a car guy at all. Best wishes and hope you're still out there riding

I'm still around! I sold this Mustang probably just a few months after I posted this video. I miss it sometimes. Glad to hear you're enjoying your Mustang! I'm still driving the white F150 from the last video I posted 6 years ago. Life has just gotten expensive and I don't have the opportunity to "play" like I used to. Maybe one day though.

Our GT/CS models just look so much more distinct then the 2013/14 models. Have you ever thought of turning it slightly retro. Heat extractor hood, raxiom retro headlights and ducktail spoiler with the stripe?

yea i can agree with that. reason why price goes up is because everbody and their mother has a new edge mustang. you can't turn anywhere without running into one, making it hard for shops to charge alot when another shop just down the road can do it cheaper. personally i love the new edges over all other body styles, but i've never owned a 5.0 yet :)

that's a good first car. mine was a '94 chevy s10 blazer haha. it was pretty nice though.. 4x4, all power, leather, it was pretty cool

I'm hoping to get an 07-09 model this spring/summer... If anyone has any tips as to what to look for let me know please. I'm open to any info. Looking forward to getting a car like this. And the reason I say 07-09 is because I have noticed 2010 and higher seem to be just out of my price range. I'm going for the V8.

great choice bro! my major concern would be how well the car was taken care of. try to get a car with service records. if the owner doesn't have 1 piece of paper saying he took care of the car, how can you trust his word? also, try to get one that's bone stock (just how i bought this one). that way you know whatever gets done to it, is done right. not to mention, you'll be upgrading a car exactly the way you want, no what somebody else has already done.

it depends on what you consider expensive. the 99-04 GT's aka new edge mustangs can be relatively cheap. i would stay away from the 99 and 00 though because they had the t45 transmission and it sucks, no reverse synchronizer so it grinds. you can get a nice 01-04 GT with around 100k miles for $7k or so

i think you got that backwards... i think the goverment stepped in in 07' and said every car must have traction control, including some other "goodies". it wouldn't make any sense to have the traction control off all the time since it's a "safety" feature. the traction control is always on unless you turn it off, at least that's how it is all on the cars i've had

Don't spray paint mustang tail lights. Buy some actual aftermarket smoked tail lights and head lights instead of half-assing it.

I didn't spray paint my taillights, I used VHT Nite-shade. It's a special type of paint specifically for lenses. I know what I am doing, and can make the taillights look great. Why spend $150 for smoked lights when I can do them almost professionally for $7? That's not half assed, that's using my head.

IFreakingEatPeople It depends on the history. Does he have records of maintenance and whatnot? What kind of condition is it in, especially the interior? Those two can tell you everything about a car. If someone couldn't take care of the aesthetics of a car, and has no documentation of any maintenance, then no absolutely not with 147k miles.

maaaaan if I would've known you were looking for a termi I could've helped you there. a buddy has an 03 with full exhaust and pulley he'd let go for 17k its beautiful and has 80k miles. Hereford Texas about 45 miles south west of amarillo.

Corvus Laeus Transmission was going out, a/c actuators were all jacked up, few other small things. 36k miles huh? that's crazy low for an almost 10 year old vehicle.

Gotcha. That's too bad, I've heard the 3650 is normally pretty stout. I'm pretty used to the small Ford things though, so may just deal with them as they come. I'm more concerned with the weird rust/oxidation that seems to have hit many S197s. Even with 36k, there are rust spots behind the rear glass and some under the hood. I would almost rather it have closer to standard mileage with a good service history, but it's a local car that was bought and serviced at that dealership, so may try it out.

Corvus Laeus Yeah I think I was just unlucky. Just make sure you give it a good test drive. Maybe even see if they'll let you take it out for a few hours, really get a good feel for it.

yeah if I remember correctly, it's in the middle between the vents. I had a tuner with the car when I sold it, I had the traction control turned off.

you have no idea what you're talking about. i went and looked at a few cobras, they were junk. completely ragged out, paint in bad shape. i picked this car up for less then any cobra on craigslist, less then the $15k you're talking about. and it was one of the best kept in shape cars on craigslist. trust me, if i could get a cobra that was in good shape, i would have.

Nafiz C Sorry man, I didn't see your reply. Hopefully I can still help... I would only recommend a mustang IF it is close to bone stock and owned by an adult. 1 owner preferably. Anything owned by a kid will be a GUARANTEE that he ragged on it, which will give YOU problems. Trust me on this, I know very well from personal experience. No offense to kids, that's just what they do. Anything bone stock and owned by an adult (like 30+) usually means it was taken care of. I can't say anything about 350z's. Never owned one, never knew anybody who did. They seem pretty solid, Nissan makes a decent product.
