Newer model years of this truck may already have a factory camera installed and would display on the rear view mirror.

Thanks for posting this video. I never ran wire like this before and it made it way less intimidating to try. More importantly, it showed me how to remove the moldings and slip the wire through the grommet and under the carpet. Perfect instructions!

Power, ground and reverse are all available at the trailer plug in the number. No need to pull the tail light.

I'm not having much luck hooking up view on demand. It's either on all the time with reverse lights. Or with reverse.

I want the camera mainly for seeing my hitch when hooking up to trailers. Does this camera have that capability?

were is the purple trigger wire on the harness? that has to have power from the back up? confused how you did it with no trigger wire

The smart harness we used provided the trigger wire for us (Crux harness). The trigger wire is generated over the data canbus of the vehicle.

what color is reverse cam input on radio yellow or brown? you dont show that?

Every radio differs. Pioneers are generally keyed as Brown, all other brands are yellow. Again, depends on the brand.
