They didn’t put any of the games from the 07-08 season in there. It was a rebuilding year. They would have curb stomped Michigan if they played them the next two years, with all due respect

This was the day Michigan football died. At least they went out with a W. Not sure what I've watched every year in Ann Arbor since then but it only losely resembles the Michigan football I grew up watching. The stadium, band, and uniforms are the only familiar sight on game day anymore.

The day Michigan Football died was the 2006 loss to Ohio State. But of the 20 years I went to the games this is the second sweetest win I can remember because against all odds they sent Lloyd out with a win

I know this killed Michigan. But imagine if they adopted this at the start of the 2007 season? They would’ve gone 12-0, & had Henne win a Heisman. They were built for this. Manningham, Arrington, that oline, spreading the defense out. There would’ve been way less injuries from being 1 dimensional & predictable. They would put up a fight against Oregon, beat Wisconsin with all their starters & had more than 85 yards of offense against Ohio state.

Injuries, injuries, injuries. I know injuries dont explain the beginning of the season, but with Lloyd Carr announcing his retirement just prior, it explains why they were distracted for App St, and then demoralized the next week at Oregon.

If Michigan adopted this offense they would've went 10-3 at worst with a Rose bowl loss to USC and 13-1 at best with a national title. Oregon being the lone loss

They weren’t healthy at all in 2007. Henne was battling an injured knee, Hart was fighting with his ankle problems and both Arrington and Manningham were banged up too. Carr even said in the post game “it helped we were healthy.” I can’t explain the App State game but that team was not nearly close to 100% that season

Michigan opened the year with a loss to the defending FCS champion and ended it with a win against the defending FBS champion led by Tebow that had just won the Heisman. Goes to show you how much a team can change from week one to the postseason.
