Thank you for this video. I was trying to figure out how to change the filter after buying one and now know to return this part because it's not needed. I have a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country and behind the glove box it looks exactly the same as yours.

the sad part is I took my vehicle to the shop for fun knowing it doesn't have a cabin air filter and they tried to charge me for replacing it and when I confronted them about it they said that they did replace it so I made them show me where it was at and they had no idea either so my advice is know if you're vehicle has a cabin air filter before you try to take it to the shop and confront them if they say that it got replaced

Thanks for saving me time and grief. Typical owner's manual screw up. But, will ask a parts manager about this. Maybe, just maybe there is a filter buried somewhere to be replaced but the manual as mentioned screwed up. Your vid is appreciated.

This happens to all the models that have TWO glove compartments not just the Chrysler Town & Country and also the Dodge Grand Caravan, the manufacturer said that they needed the room to put the second glove compartment.

Thanks for sharing this video to save everybody's time! After getting the wrong engine air filter for my Caliber SRT4, I check KZfaq before looking for air filters. After watching your video, I ran right out to my garage to check and found my 2008 T&C Limited does have the air filter. Surprise!

Fun fact, I am working on a 2009 Volkswagen Routon. It is a Chrysler Town and Country but they changed the name. Behind the glove box looks just like this one and does not have cabin filter.

Mine has the same thing that you show in your picture so I guess a no-go on the cabin air filter. although I did not order the replacement yet I was going to blow out the old one and ordered the new one so I guess no extra work to do here.

I was wondering which one mine uses after seeing a commercial for HVAC air filters. I also found your post. I have the manual for my 2008 T & C in pdf form. Easier to find stuff. This is what it says. "On vehicles equipped with Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), the climate control system filters out dust and pollen from the air. Refer to Section 7 “Air Conditioning” for filter replacement instructions." Mine doesn't have ATC either.

I own two Dodge Grand Caravans (2008 and 2015). Both have two glove boxes. The 2008 has no cabin air filter, but the 2015 does have a replaceable one behind the lower glove box.

2010 town and country minivan here, I also have no cabin air filter, any ideas on why I would have low airflow on high, every video I look up says replace the cabin air filter, yet I don’t have one to replace.

My 2010 Town and Country van has the exact same thing!!! And I’ve taken my van to places where they’ve said they replaced the cabin air filter - BUT WHERE!? I then went to O’Reilly’s and they sold me a cabin filter. Where does it go?

I ordered one from rockauto, got it today and went to replace it....I just wasted $8 I guess this is a common problem. I prefer when the manufacturers make the HVAC systems all the same and then decide if they will add the filter or not. This gives the consumer the option to use a filter if they want.

2010 here, same deal. Makes me wonder if Chrysler EVER included a CAF in their vans, or if they just listed a part number for it so dealers could offer to replace it? Back to Autozone for return...

My 2012 VW Routan is exactly the same. It is a rebadged Chrysler product. Apparently some have filters and some do not.

2010 Town & Country here. Same issue. Already bought the filter from RockAuto; guess I'll just hafta return it and pay the restocking fee.

My 2003 Dodge Gr. Caravan does not have one where it should be. The spot is under the dash and it doesn't open.

So we're justing getting unfiltered air in our vans?

My 2006 Town & Country base model doesn't have one either, says the only ones that due are the models with automatic climate control, maybe yours is like that as well

2009 grand caravan. Exactly what's in the video. Very confusing because the manual says that if I have air condoning, there should be a filter here. I have air conditioning, but no filter. Disappointing because there is cigarette smell in this thing. Was hoping for help with the oder by getting a new filter.

2010 Chrysler T & C, unable to locate any cab air filter. Ideal it should have one to protect the vent motor, which has burned-out by the way due to dust & organic matter, such as leafs. So will have to make one and mount inside chamber prior to motor air flow. Auto Zone insist there is one, listed on their parts. No no I say...otherwise why did motor get dust bomb broken?

ive changed these when i had a 2006 Dodge grand caravan so i was like ,, cool this will be easy then i opened mine up on my 2009 town and country touring and boom i had same thing, i was wondering if there a filter above the blower motor , but im not tearing it apart because everything works fine ,, thanks for conferring im not the only one with this,, May be because of the 2 glove compartments , i dont know

My 2012 VW Routan looks exactly like yours. The stupid thing is the filter catalog in Walmart shows this model has filter.

If you call the dealer and give them your vin # they can tell you if you have a filter or not. I did this today. My T&C doesn't have it.

It's strange, my 2009 Town and country limited has the automatic temperature control, it has the double dash set up, and it has a cabin air filter 🤷

Dont have one in my 2010 either!
