2008 Hyundai Accent - won't start (alarm triggered?)

This vehicle was purchased used and did not come with a FOB for an alarm. It has surprised us a few times in the past by the alarm being triggered either inside or when opening the door.
Last night I accessed the vehicle and noticed the hazards on the dashboard blinking, so I attempted to make them stop and also tried to start the car. Nothing...no clicks, no sound that would identify the car turning over. But the entire dash lit up.
We disconnected to battery to save it over night. This morning we took a closer look and now believe one possibility could be the alarm has been triggered by a faulty sensor. Any feedback would be great!

Put key in on position …..open drivers door and keep it open …unhook negative terminal from battery and re hook it up ……go and start it

My 2009 accent does this. Unhook one side of your battery, as you hook it back up it will honk. As it honks, push down on the plunger next to the washer fluid. On my car, it is a black button with a plunger. Works on my car, good luck!

Passengers side door turn key on outside and it will turn alarm off

My toyota does the same thing when the battery dies to jump start you just got to get in it and start it, while the jumper cables are hooked up and the alarm stops

What happens if the car doors might have a key fob but you must’ve lost it you can get that key programs and you could use any of the buttons on a five minute shut the alarm off hopefully

My mother's car had this same exact problem I locked the door from the outside popped the hood removed the horn fuse and horn relay then started the car put the fuse and relay back in and fixed the issue. Somehow the alarm system was triggered and she does not have the fob key for the alarm so the only fix was turn the alarm off by locking the driver door from the outside house this helps.

Yes actually - the car eventually died and we replaced the battery. No more issues.

I do believe the car came from the factory w/ a key chain alarm/panic and lock/unlock button. However, as it's used we were not given this. I believe that this alarm was triggered somehow and because of the defective battery it was going wild. Again, replaced old battery and it fixed the issue :)
