I have a 140cc, looks pretty similar, have it torn down, except , I can't remove the shaft from the case, I took off the alignment/keeper plate cause there's a space behind it where it seems the assembly could be turned allowing it to come out or be pulled, out, no such luck. I can spin it off of the bent part of the spring that is attaches too and spin it but it almost seems bigger than the hole and wont come out....any ideas, I don't think I'm expected to separate the case.

It's the one way bearing in the centrifugal clutch that's gone. They all crack like that . It doesn't allow enough movement in the shaft for the gears to slip. It the one way. They all end up giving out.

you can fix the one wway bearing by prying on the metal cage... that stops the bearing from going both ways

I have the exact same issue with my 03 drz 110 mine is cracked a little lower going to see if I can get it v out and re welded.

Offset yt Once you remove the plastic shim under the spring and unhook the spring from the case it should just pull out.

Can a electric start fix this problem? So you wont have to kick start it no more.

Yes... I believe the 2012 models and later have electric start and 4 gears. This one does not have e-start

@@DirtBikeDaryl thank you but I was talking about just getting like the wires and battery and the start button and kill switch and setting it up for a 09 model and older model klxs

Chase Rz Oh I understand now. Unfortunately the engine would require a starter gear and the starter itself. It doesn’t come equipped with either of those two. Then you would need to add wires, battery, and starter button. I don’t think it is practical though. Good thinking though.. 👍🏻

Tim Maldonado I put a new left case half on. Replaced a couple bearings.

Mexican Pigeon I’m not sure exactly. Likely more than $300. If you have a slipping clutch, definitely check the adjuster screw. If you’re not sure, search a KZfaq video on how to adjust KLX110 cutch.
