This is our very first Max Torque MY car review, exclusively done at home as a part of #stayathome during this extended movement control order here in Malaysia. #Stayathome and stay safe everyone!
Today, Akmal will be reviewing cars that are only accessible around him, his family cars. The 2008 Mercedes C180 has been his family's oldest daily driver, so that's where he'll start. Many people still think that owning a Mercedes is somewhat exclusive and fancy, but there are basic and cheap model Mercedes models that are for sale, and this is one of them, in this video, we'll be taking a look at what a Mercedes C180 really is on the inside.

That center cover trim piece is $20 and rubber cover $20. Hold in with one screw and few clips, super easy to change. It's basically same thing order plastics made in china, because oem quality in those wasn't that good. I replaced mine for $40 and they are mint now.

My 2008 320 CDI has none of chipping and breakage problems. All the switches are in good order, and all the vents are as new. The storage panel covers are in place and in good order. Is it possible that the first owner was rather hard on these items? I certainly agree that the legroom in the back is not good.

Regarding the buttons, I believe so, perhaps they used their finger and slowly scraped it over the years? The vents might have broken off due to carwash staff violently wiping the vents 😅😅. The life of a second hand car I guess 😅 but I got a new storage panel now

I have a 2007 c180 kompresser sport and have none of the chipping but thank you for the video as it could be a problem in the future.

I guess you just need to be a bit careful, and not use your nails when pressing buttons.

All peeled black buttons can be cosmetically repaired with sticks which will make them look like new again, these could be bought from AliExpress

Ensure that u scrape off the centre portion of each button before sticking on the matching stickers, also use a permanent marker to touch up if need be.

@@tanyongwah7694 I see, thanks again :D, I was browsing through a lot and found a few more parts that I could buy, they are indeed cheap, Although I haven't found a centre console plate that matches the interior, not yet atleast.

I just got a used c180 2008 model and everything is in top shape except the button on the steering wheel that controls the sound volume. I guess poor handling and keeping the car outside instead of a garage lowers the quality big time.

Yes the constant use, especially with sharp finger nails rubs away the rubber on the buttons, though I've been in a lower trim model, the buttons are solid plastic.

You can make the buttons like new by buying stickers from AliExpress, I have mine replaced with stickers or touch up with a permanent ink pen

Hello from Europe-Croatia it is not common in Europe that car have a foot rear brake in fact ONLY MERCEDES have that stuped s..ty sistem that annoy all European drivers,and i notice something strange u have a U.K. Model if u are sitting in the Right and that is NOT EUROPEAN that is British stile. So this review is OK but the problem is that u dont have EURPEAN VERSION and there is a BIG i mean BIG DEFERENCE Between U.K. models and EURO Models,Euro models with LEFT rider stearing wheel are more Luxurious and better equiped becouse E.U. laws are Strict....and yeah in EUROPE is forbiden to have a GLASS Hedlights becouse of crash hazards...so thats why u will find a lot of plastic,poliester stuff inside and out of E.U. cars...

Mercedes is the worse possible car you can buy.After 13 years of owning a w203 I can say that.Rust issues are huge, electronic problems all the time... Awful car company.Buy a Japanese vehicle and you won't have any problems
