I needed to put my mind at ease to confirm where the water leak was exactly so I removed the inlet manifold. I noticed in the 1A Auto video that their vehicle didn't have the "Sound Generator Duct" so I went looking for a video/car that did.
This is very helpful if you want to remove the inlet manifold like I did:

Only difference I have found so far is that my car did not have a bolt at the bottom of the manifold.
Final note:
1A auto videos are top shelf. I've followed their tutorials for three jobs now. This water pipe replacement, PCV valve cover replacement and the front wheel bearings. I watch them a few times before I do the job and have found them to incredibly helpful.
Car is actually a R55 Clubman, same same, but different.

Thanks for the video. I wish I had removed my intake manifold to check where the leak was. When it was dripping coolant, I immediately thought it was from the weep hole of the water pump. Spent one morning replacing it and it is NOT the water pump. It should be the pipe o-ring. Now I need to remove the intake to make sure.

I reset it many times, but to no avail. The last time we applied mixed glue, but to no avail

About an hour to remove it, you may want to get a new gasket. I had mine up on ramps as you have to undo bolts underneath the manifold. Makes it very easy to change the thermostat pipe clip

I just bought that pipe from Mini it is so thin lightweight plastic

It is alarmingly brittle considering the amount of force required to get it to fit!

@@Striped63 My 308 THP has the same issue now, if you have a new pipe, do you force it in or does it need to be tightend?
