Today I take a look at a 2008 Mustang GT, owned by Archinuk417. The car is completely stock except for the exhaust, which totally changes the personality of the car. Check out the video to see what we think about the car! Please check out his channel, it's linked above! Like and Subscribe for more content!

I DD one for about two years and from my experience, if you can afford $40 in gas/week, get one and get it in manual. They are the perfect every day muscle car. Visibility is great, handling/comfort, style, and parts are accessible. The interior is leaps and bounds over the early 2000's mustangs and I have no doubt in my mind this car will become a very expensive classic car in the future. I sold mine so I can move to a corvette C5. The 2014's are no question superior, but most people who are looking for used cars can't afford one yet. Buy an 05-09 with around 70k on the clock and no more than $12k

I agree. The 05-09 mustangs are a great deal for the prices they are going for. The 2014 GT is quicker and handles better but is way more expensive. As the 05-09 body style morphed into the latest models, they are not looking like a classic mustang anymore. The single little projection style headlamp and the wind tunnel forged body has ruined the look. This is reminiscent of how Ford designed the 1971 and later mustangs (up until the 2005). I hope Ford designers bring back the classic look again. Then and only then will I trade for my 2007 GT.

I think the body on this gen of mustangs is going to be a classic.

The 4.6 engine is for designed for regular 87 octane fuel. No real reason to run premium, you're pretty much just wasting money
@AutoAutopsy
@AutoAutopsy 7 жыл бұрын
It can help the car run more efficiently. It doesn't hurt :)
@tc16169
@tc16169 7 жыл бұрын
Auto Autopsy actually if anything it makes it run less efficiently. The 4.6 was specifically designed to run on 87 octane, the owner's manual recommends 87 octane, and the only reason to run premium is if you have some sort of special custom tune that necessitates it.

The 2008/9 Bullitt is a factory exception (tune related). The manual calls for premium, but it can run on 87 octane without difficulty, just not optimally.

Don't get me wrong, brother. I want you to succeed. One thing that I have noticed when you've got someone who's going to be on camera with you is that there needs to be SOME chemistry. Get coffee with the dude, talk cars with him for a while, play some video games. If you feel your guest is going to be awkward, cut him out completely. Watch Matt Farrahs One Takes and he clearly brings the best out in people while talking. I think you need to work on your camera presence and you need to take control, you let him talk more than you which shouldn't be happening. Also, don't do any interviews where you AREN'T driving the car, unless it's a SUPER exotic, you know?

You kind of have the same voice/tone as kylesaab04 which worked for him because he does dry but VERY informative videos and he entered the market when there was NO ONE doing this stuff. But you're entering a saturated market, so you need to set yourself apart. Add some energy. I'm subscribed, so I'll be eagerly awaiting more content.

v8 also gets a lot more from upgrades, so when comparing older v8 with new v6, you can just throw a few bolt-ons on the v8 and free up the restricted exhaust and its' an absolute beast and will eat up the new v6's. May be able to do the same with those but idk much about them, how restricted they are etc.

I have the 08 GT Standard Premium in Torch Red and is still a lot of fun to drive. I hit 100k on mine and got a Suzuki 6cyl to put the heavy miles on from here out. I intend to purchase more of this model. autoshifter responds surprisingly well in this model. The rear side windows almost always look better louvered or removed unless Mustang is a darker color. The stock exhaust is small but has a quiet growl. I once raced mine and was forced to detour on the shoulder of the road which disappeared leaving me driving over entrances and by mailboxes etc going at least 60mph. Got back on the road after passing car that had pulled in front of me and then got her back up to 105mph in a few seconds and proceeded to win the race. That was the last time i determinedly raced for obvious reasons. Must say the car did very well for its cost but has some shortcomings that need to be overcome with uogrades. Its prob not unheard of to squeeze near 400 Hp out of these with the right combination of upgrades.

I have a 08 but in eurpe thoses cars cost more than a gt500, and cost a ton for insurance . I did a few bolt on , Brembo brake , steeda LCA ,steeda x brace , pulley , cmc delete plate , CAI. I plan of put white line front brace next month to improve steering response , with 20 inch wheels and lot of little curving road it's a must .

pierre moskon I thought the V8's weren't sold in Europe? Did you have it imported?
@Pierre578
@Pierre578 7 жыл бұрын
actually before 2015 the mustang was not sold in europe ,by ford , they were imported individually .You have to make some modification for it to being street légale , pass a ton of test , eco taxes etc basically a 20000$ mustang cost around 40000$ once it's imported and ready to drive. And most insurance don't want to insure you because dut to it's be a 4.6 compared to 1.8 most common in europ it's considered a big big engine .So only passionate drive them here and mostly 30 to 60 years range people . For 2015 the eco boost was imported as long as the V8 a brand new gt coste around 50000$ (10000$ acotaxe)

Wow! A 5.0 mustang here goes in the high $20,000s +, depending on specs of course. That's an insane price!
@Pierre578
@Pierre578 7 жыл бұрын
import duties and protectionisme our stupid country are against v6 or v8 all they want is 50 +mpg cars or electric ,some cars are banned in some city somedays ,a gallon here cost aroud 10$ .Mustang are considered luxurious car for rich people even if they are not originally and if you are under 30 no insurance will cover you.

Hello. I have a 2008 as well. Curious, how many miles you got on yours? I got mine back in 2008 and I have well over 120K. FYI, I have been modifying mine with the following bolts: Pypes axle-back, SR panhard bar, Ford Racing Lowering P springs, Bilstein B6 HD shocks and struts, Ford racing GT500 strut mounts, and Ford Racing jounce bump stops (only rear needs them). That lowered the car only 1 inch and she now handles really well. Your correct, extremely reliable cars. I'd suggest a few more bolt on's and your muscle car will handle really well . . . and you will lose that "float" feel and gain a a really planted feeling car. I run 20 inch wheels too and that added to the feel of the car. Enjoy!!

Yeah the output is just so low for a V8 by today's standards, and the 5 speed is kinda outdated too. If I got one I would have to do a couple bolt-on's
@phillipberk5767
@phillipberk5767 7 жыл бұрын
Speedaholics totally agree, even with 5k in bolt ons it was still slower than my stock cobra. I had full exhaust, intake, tuned, throttle body, port and polished, and cams, if u can afford it, go with a cobra, or a 11+, but for the money fun car.
@Speedaholics
@Speedaholics 7 жыл бұрын
What did you make with those bolt-ons? I am considering it because I thought it'd be a fun car to do a build on with many of those mods you mentioned and make it way better than the factory 300 HP.
