Yes! She is the GOAT at 100m because no one can get a fastest start. No one ever has. No one ever will. Its her size. But Elaine Thompson and Shericka Jackson reach higher speeds once they get going with those longer legs so should be considered GOATS of overall sprinting which is a 100m, 200m and 400m discipline. I think all 3 of them are the GOATS of sprinting as FloJo was drugged up.

Regarding the Merlene Ottey comment made by Ato, this is not a rebuttal but an observation of the legend's legacy... Merlene did not win an Olympic Gold medal, however, her career transcended much more than that medal would mean to her resume. Normally I would be the first to declare an Olympic Gold medal as the standard for any Athletics career and sure it would have been nice to have it, but, Ms Ottey's legacy is well secured. 🥈🥈🥈🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉
@jojomargaux92952 жыл бұрын
Very well stated friend. Ms Ottey is not to be mentioned, without putting some respect on to her name. Because though she didn’t win gold in her pet event, God knows she was up against a lot of unfair circumstances foul competitions, yet still she still medaled on the days it matters the most. Long live Merlene Ottey.
@mattie222 жыл бұрын
Yes 100% agree with but Merlene also ran the exact same time as Devers who won the gold it was so close in Atlanta 96 I still feel both ladies should have been awarded a gold medal 🥇 Merlene’s career was amazing her longevity was something that had never been done B4

It's not to LOVE this young Lady.. So humble, exciting, and down to earth. She is a Sister to all the world much Love to her. I had to leave the 2022 world championship, and come here to look at her first Major gold medal win. Her lead was phenomenal.. Congrats to the USA Ladies and men's for dominating the team races.

🤣🤣🤣 That's the last time anyone would ever say that about this lady... No experience! It's TALENT that counts & even then she was head & shoulder's above the rest of the world. She's the only one in that line up that still regularly competes & wins at that level That smile, enthusiastic chat & pure joy of her sport is still with her & still reaches everyone inside the stadiums Congratulations on an awesome career ShellyAnne... You are an absolute pleasure to watch ❤️❤️❤️😘
