I would put the splash guard back on. To prevent water getting up to the engine or electrical parts

Amazing to me how many people remove a splash guard . Ever had to replace an OEM one ??? You would not be so fast to cut or discard it for a bumper guard that has no real purpose oh an if your truck is under factory or factory extended warranty you just invalidated it .
