@@ScantPear They are the following companies that Whirlpool owns, Admiral, Kitchen Aid, Kenmore, Roper, Maytag, Inglis, Brastemp (which it's sold in Brazil), Crosley and Kirkland has made the same quality built from the factory since around 1985 where Whirlpool introduced the Direct Drive TLW with the standard agitator, Dual Action Agitator, and Dual Action with Fabric Softener Dispenser Agitator and one has not which it has a cap on the agitator. Somewhere around 1987, the Old School Belt Drive TLW has been discontinued and continue to manufacture the Direct Drive TLW. After that, in 2013, they are no longer manufacture the standard Direct Drive Top Load Washer and went ahead and make the High Efficiency Belt Drive TLW with no suspension, no tub brakes, no self-cleaning lint filter, and no lint filter. As being said, the agitator is still the same accordingly. And yes, the agitator is still there while Whirlpool continues to produce more parts for the Direct Drive TLW and for the High Efficiency TLW such as, Agitator Dog, Regular Agitator, and the Dual Action Agitator.

Oh yes. It would do that to prevent damages to the outer tub and to alert them to let them know that they need to make it balance to prevent off balance while drain and spin which they went to emergency shut-down while the buzzer relayed.

Even though the new washers don't last long like it used to be. Instead, I prefer this washer the one I have because, it is designed to keep blankets, towels, clothes and everything clean, and it is also easy to service this washer whenever the parts fail, it can be replaced with the new parts and get it going again. Today's washer like you mentioned the Amana digital washer, I think it's a belt drive washer, it really won't last long, and I am deeply sorry that your Amana digital washer has failed, and I am happy to hear you that you got this washer like my washer.

It's probably because Whirlpool changed the quality built for the washer since approximately mid 2000's, and the features are different the way the washers works. Usually it paused in 10 seconds and kicked on and running another cycles by the timer.

No it's a direct drive washer originally produced in 1985. Until then, belt drive is discontinued in 1987 or 1988 in my own guest.

@@Bluethunderboom I know it’s a direct-drive. I was saying what would’ve happened if it was an older belt-drive. They had off balance switches where as most of the direct-drives don’t (but I believe the first ones did). -Charles-

@@charlespurviskellyjr.7210 Because Whirlpool do it away of producing off-balance alarm for where they think the washers really don't need one. However, whenever I hear the washer is constantly off balance while spinning, then all I can do is to re-balance the clothes by simply, put one of the heavy wet clothes to the other side of the wash tub, and then restart the spin cycle and see the washer spins fine without having off balance.

You have to remember, we only have no clearance to have an extra washer and dryer to be right beside the washer and dryer while washing and drying the clothes at the same time, even though there is a way that you can adjust the water level is simply look on lexmarks567 or jaykay18 of how you can adjust the water level for the washer whenever you need it to while the washer washes the clothes.

So many times until August of 2018, it couldn't agitate to clean clothes where it wants to turn counter clockwise.

@@Bluethunderboom shame it broke. Was it used every day that is quite new for a direct drive to have such a big failure. Would love to see a video of of the 2011 roper

@@declanmarsh7398 Direct Drive is not usually as Failure, what it is, it's a basic ordinary Wear-And-Tear where me and my family use them daily to clean them clothes, and then, the gear-case is stripped. Maybe in the future, I'll produce the video of the 2011 Roper (Whirlpool) Direct Drive Top Load Washer.

No idea. All I know is what me and my family got them brand new at Home Depot, it looks like it was originally installed from Admiral factory and I thought it was original to this whole agitator and it's not been custom built at all.

Bluethunderboom it possibly could be. Admiral must have been feeling funky and wanted to throw in the old Kitchenaid agitator for a twist. The world may never know

@@peterjohnson7710 And so is Kenmore and Maytag, until early 2000s Whirlpool bought them out. I knew that, I’m just saying that agitator was specifically for Kitchenaid models. The fins are shaped different and came in sea blue on the older models and newer ones had white ones.

There is a way of how to modify to make a little bit higher for the water level switch, though I don't have it anymore because, the transmission is stripped and couldn't agitate and send it to scrap metal. But I have another Direct Drive Top Load Washer is 2011 Roper (Whirlpool) Direct Drive TLW which will soon be operate. The video you can look of how to modify the water level switch on YT User lexmarks567. And right before the washer itself was send it to scrap metal, I salvage the Dual Action Agitator, Timing, Knobs, Lid Switch, Water Level Switch, Temperature Switch, Motor, Motor Coupling, Hoses, Motor Coupling Gasket, Run Capacitor, Water Valve, the Wire Harness, and the Power Cord. Though unfortunately, I didn't salvage the Inner Tub along with Outer Tub because I don't have a Spanner Wrench for to save the component.

I'm not sure, all I know there is pretty much the same as all of its Whirlpool agitator base, not like Kenmore version or any other product. What I recall them is what me and my family bought them new at Home Depot and that's how Admiral uses this agitator, and I know it looks like a Kitchen Aid Agitator, but the reality thing is, we didn't change the agitator, we are using this washer on the regular basis while cleaning the clothes.

It's been send to scrap metal because, the gearcase is no longer working right to the point it cannot agitate it very well.

The agitator dogs could have used replacing and did you remove the agitator

@@ScantPear I did remove the agitator right before the washer is send to scrap. And yes, I can reuse the agitator to any Whirlpool Made Direct Drive Washers. For example, when I got the used washer that has a regular agitator, I can change to dual action agitator and to get it to wash, or revert it back to standard agitator while wash the clothes. Also yes, the agitator dogs can be replace when the agitator dogs had failed.

It's a Whirlpool Agitator. Either way, it's still the same. Even though, it's a Dual Action Fabric Softener Dispenser agitator.

@@Bluethunderboom the fact kitchen aid is owned by whirlpool as well doesn't mean it's agitator can be used to any whirlpool DD because they mustn't, due the bottom of the kitchen aid agitator is larger because was specially made for lower speeds so can't be used to any DD with fast agitation because you are forcing the transmission and then screw it up. So I'm 100% sure your washer has a kitchen Aid agitator, which is really bad.
