My now deceased best friend’s first car was a 94 Grand Marquis he got from a neighbor (who never drove it much) for $800. He bought it when he was 16 and I was 14 (2010ish.) We tore up the dirt roads of St Clair county Alabama in that thing. We’d ride on the big hood or big trunk, or drag each other down the dirt road on a trash can lid holding on by a rope. That thing was so comfortable you never felt bumps. It’s a shame he got rid of it simply over a rear main seal leak. I was so mad at him for that lol. I got into law enforcement and let me tell you the Crown Vic was the best cop car BY FAR in every way, except speed. I quit working in it but decided in 2020 to get a 2010 Crown Vic Police Interceptor, because I love it, and it reminds me of my buddy too.

I have that exact year in the exact colors with almost the exact mileage. Lol. And I love it. Every time I go anywhere at least one person asks me if I’m interested in selling it. As far as fuel mileage,I get 22.5 religiously.

only buy a grand marquis with the air suspension it was standard in its last years same ride as the lincoln i had both same ride i have a 03 cartier never replace it with rear shocks buy new air bags

I’ve had 4 Panthers. My first was a 1986 Grand Marquis LS loaded, my grandmother gave it to me in 1994 it was my first car. Had 50k on it. My second was a 1991 Grand Marquis LS carriage roof with the turbine rims. Beautiful car, then I had an ‘07 P71 Vic, now I have a ‘06 P-71 street appearance Vic. Can’t beat these cars. Most reliable cars I’ve ever owned👍🏻. Great video just subscribed, love your content!

I'm not at this time considering a truck because I don't think with good maintenance I'd be able to wear out the Merc i have in any short order of time. Even if the impossible $1-2/gal gas ever returned in the States and it won't without another pandemic or worse i would rather not have to purchase anything else in the next several years. These are great cars.

The 17 inch wheels officially came out in 09 on the Grand Marquis but my door sticker says 225/60/17 and mine isn't an 09. Looks like mine. With the 2.73 final drive and if you don't drive the car like you're 15 years old and just stole a car they get really good mileage. The more they sit in town or idling the worse the average. Mine is a flex fuel but I'll just use regular gas. It gets very good mileage at 55 mph. Not bad at all at 70. I like the fact that it's not a Lincoln and I don't have to put up with the electric pull down and mine has a full sized spare that looks like the other 4. Mercury is better than Lincoln. Less ostentatious. I don't need the pretense. Lol, i don't need hearing aids. I can also see very far.

5:46 a donut tire on these cars seem very stupid with how big the trunk is plus you can get a full spare. I can't really name modern any cars similar to the panther platform say the day comes where i want a modern car version similar
