I don’t know who else needs to hear this, but enjoy life now. Every single day. I remember how I felt back in 2009: left out, nowhere near reaching my goals, lost with career, love life, etc. and now 10 years later I look back and realize how beautiful that uncertainty was. (Something about music brings you back to memories and times in your life like no other medium can) Everything worked out. I got there. I’m reminding myself of that now, so when I listen to the songs from 2019 in 2029 I’ll remember the decade as a journey and not as a holding place for something better. Xo

I've noticed 2019 music sounds more minimalistic, with those more "shallow" sounds. 2009 songs sounds more "rounded" and full with more instruments and synths. I don't quite know how to express it.

Mmm maybe bc it more usual now to produce a song without using the classic instruments (you know, guitar, drums, piano...) but the beats can be equally as good. At first i felt strange bc i was more used to listen to more "instrumental" songs (mostly rock) but then it went a time where i didn't really care, especially since i discover BTS. Their production in music is top notch and usually has so many different sounds that you have to listen carefully. One of my favorites is by the rappers of the group "Outro:Tear". Idk, the sound gives me chills everytime.

They use Autotune yes, but like it's an instrument to play with the beats. If you like to hear instruments they have the rock versions of DNA and Fake Love, First Love (that talks about one of the members love for piano/music) or their mixtapes, like "Agust D" (So Far Away or interlude: dream). Sorry for the ramble. Just trying to suggest. Ask me if you want to know something!

I totally recommend their discography, as well as their solo works like the rapper's mixtapes: RM, Agust D, Hope World, Mono or the vocal line songs (you have Promise, Scenery, Winter Bear and Tonight). What genres do you usually listen to? Bc if you said that that song had a nice ballad then maybe "Jamais Vu" would be of your liking.

Hi fellow Polish person :D BTS isn't really Kpop anymore, they've tried all kinds of genres (from rap, hip hop, to R&B, pop, ballads...), also they tackle more serious issues (they often write lyrics about society, mental health, inequalites...) which is quite unheard of in Kpop I need the full Lady Gaga x Ava Max remix too!

2009 to 2012 were my favorite years in music. I was high school during those times. I'm not trying to be a grumpy old man hating on the new generation. I like new releases from NERVO, Icona Pop, Kiesza, etc. but I guess my taste in music isn't what's mainstream anymore.
