My daughter AND niece BOTH had girls a month apart..my g-baby cried like she was in pain, We ended up getting a Bobokush for her mamaroo because she has Infant acid reflux and that can take a few months to go away..Its a lifesaver but not everyone can afford them. I dont mean it's an all day sitter but if you pick up and hold them ALL THE TIME you ll need luck putting them down,by then they got yet ou whipped and good luck doing anything like showering,eating, visiting,EVERYTHING! It's not neglecting it's starting a routine,and there's many good mom videos about tummy time etc.

For new parents: Don't leave a baby to "cry it out"; they're crying for a reason. Also, when you let a baby get this upset just before feeding, the baby is taking in a lot of air in his/her stomach. After feeding you'll likely have a baby with gas pains (and more crying).

Babies don't usually cry that hard for that long unless there is really something wrong. I know that you have to resist the urge to rush to their every whimper, but that's pretty horrible that you just let it cry that hard without checking the baby

Sounds like their having a meal or just taking a break. Asians don't pick up their kids at the first whimper. Americans should do this. Bathroom breaks, cleaning house and some things can't wait. The kids only been crying 2.5 minutes, give the parents a break.

My daughter just had her first and I told her if she GIVES IN Every time they do THAT UP IN THE VIDEO..They will NEVER have free hands..and NO SLEEP SCHEDULE..NO FEEDING SCHEDUEL..and ALL you' l.p. be doing is holding a baby in your arms because THEY catch on FAST..IF I CRY THEY HOLD ME! and they don't ever wanna sleep alone. 4 babys and 1 grand daugher later it's textbook with MOST BABYS

OMG! These cream puffs who go ballistic over a crying infant. Its not going to hurt them. Ten or fifteen minutes is a concern but not a couple. Parents taking showers or using the bathroom can't run the second a baby cries. Its not a wonder how people today have no patience or attention span. Instant gratification taught immediately.

@Georgina Maroti I have known mothers that refuse to put their child down. Even while cooking. The baby sleeps on their bed and she sits with him in the back seat while hubby drives. One took baths with her child. I understand being an attentive mother. But these children need to learn to be their own person. Children learn by doing I left mine too cry about ten to fifteen minutes. And have rocked them. We know if the cry is tired, cranky, wet or hungry. Often they fight sleep. Its not going to harm them to cry a bit. I agree with your friend. I know a few nurses who say to let them cry a little bit. 😉

How does a baby feel loved & nurtured if they are left to cry uncomforted? Newborns don’t have an understanding of waiting. They only know they are hungry… What is a parent’s purpose in letting it go on crying unsatfied? I find it cruel & cold.

Actually a baby can die from being neglected... do your research. Obviously this amount of upset won’t kill a baby, but frequently over extended periods of time and the baby can end up with brain damage, developmental delay, or yes even death.

they must neglect him pretty often for him to tune into ¨desparate crying¨ as soon as he/she becomes hungry. In some ways perhaps crying so hard is a learned behavior. I think its a sound parents should respond to, whether they choose to feed him, or to talk with him or not. Child is still in their care 24/7

Price The worst part is, I believe I heard the sound of the parents (or someone anyway) talking to the baby in the background, apparently trying to soothe him/her, but sometimes simply talking to them is not going to help, so at this point, the babe should have been picked up to offer some comfort.

No they absolutely are NOT right. It is not acceptable at all to allow a new born baby to cry like this and for so long. This is clear beglet. All these people cared about was making a video. Yes when babies are older it's okay to let them cry it out a bit but NOT like this especially a new born. There is NO reason a new born should ever be allowed to get to this point.

For God's godsakes tend to this poor child. There's a HUGE difference in letting a baby "Cry it out" and this. This is really f**ked Up. That baby is beat red and her voice is becoming hoarse. Not to mention the fact the position she's in is triggering her Morrow reflex which startles them. She's looking for some stability there. That's why she's flailing about. Enough is enough.

ilovecatz00 Notice not one actually tear though. Its actually amazing how fast they learn this is how they get things. What this really is is anger because babies do expect to be coodled and catered to every second because they really need us for everything. This one is super pissed he's snapped his fingers and no one came running. You can see him get madder and madder that his servants aren't listening. I say servants because honestly they do think we're just a tool to assist them in all their needs. If this kid could talk he'd be saying wtf? I said pick me up now. Feed me.Its actually kinda cute when you realize he's pissed off and not sad.This baby is learning fast not to expect much. I'm not sure I agree at this age but another few times and this will be a humbled baby that knows he's not in charge. It all made sense when a nurse practitioner explained it's actually anger. But at the same time it's impressive babies experience anger this intense at this age because in a babies world everything is all about him. I never understood that. So they literally do see us as hired help. Lol

I AGREE WITH ALLOWING THEM TO CRY ... TOO MANY RUN AND PICK UP THE BABY ... THIS CREATES LATER ISSUES.. LET THEM SOOTH THEMSELVES.

It's a little distressing to see the baby's distress. I don't particularly like babies or kids, but it's kind of sad to watch it so upset while no one really does anything.

I particularly like seeing and hearing them cry. Especially when they're scared or in pain. But my favprite is when I get to be the one who hurts them and makes them cry. I love it. I love when I get to babysit newborns. We have lots of fun...
