Can you ride 200km with electric unicycle and do it in one day? Thats what we wanted to know and thats what we went after!
Electric unicycles a.k.a EUC-s are getting more and more popular, but how far can these machines even go? Is it 10km, 50km, 150km or even more? Can you ride from Tallin (capital of Estonia) to the second biggest city, Tartu? We are about to find out!

Except for the very first Monster Pro's, they run down to 74.5-volts. That was a fun video to watch - I love long rides like that. I imagine that there aren't a lot of riders in Estonia?

The community is building up here like in SouthCal. Every active rider brings in 2-3 new ones. I'd say I have been lucky to teach/support about 30-40 people with the first steps over the past 2-3 years. May be total of 100-150 riders here now (the country is 1.3 million). I am pretty sure, no day goes by in the capital city Tallinn, without coming across to some EUC rider. We have also been contributing to the same trends in Finland, particularly Helsinki area, where you can meet quite many Wolt food delivery guys on EUCs. One of them, my good friend Timur is a true Sherman lover, having some 3 (or more???) Shermans plus a few Kingsongs in his garage. The legislation is pretty relaxed here on EUC-s so I guess the only way is up.

Well I got one and the board fried in the first couple of months. I could still ride but it would overheat if at all stressed. Parts are finally on the way after 3 months. Disappointing since the summers are short here. Maybe that's why people are hesitant to get them. They have to improve the build quality and parts availability. I am 66 so not too many riding years left... haha Maybe I will try the Kingsong next year after a few people do the crash tests on them.

2k km on the s18 so far and heated gloves are really nice in the freezing cold... much more so than my usual motorcycle gloves.. but the fingertips still get cold after 20minutes even when relaxing my arms and wrists to keep bloodflow optimal. Still trying to find some with heating all the way down the fingertips and truly set for the winter.

Hey thanks for this great range test, it's an awesome result. Do you think Veteran Sherman Max (3600 Wh, same battery size but a couple kg ''lighter'') could accomplish the same result theoretically? Would you say that given the same battery and the way smaller size, Sherman Max could be a more versatile wheel than Monster Pro?

Awesome content i feel every euc shud come with a pedal like in a normal unicycle so when the battery is out of juice u can just pedal it and take it anywhere u want. I don't feel it will add in a lot of weight and it can be done. Do we have any experts who can answer this
@yankochoynev652
@yankochoynev652 5 ай бұрын
EUCs are very different from pedal unis, it's not like with bikes where you just slap a battery and call it a day. The pedals on a normal unicycle are fixed, so 1 revolution of the pedals means 1 revolution of the wheels hence if you want to go fast you have to have 36inch tire. Furthermore, you need to have contact with a seat to keep proper balance. To circumvent these problems the EUC self balances using a gyroscope which allows a small wheel to reach high speeds and be easy to control. This cannot be achieved without electricity. Basically the euc and the unicycle are fundamentally different machines.

I've had 16s, 16X, MSP, then Sherman for some shorter period, again MSP, and now on EX. I'd say with my riding style (a lot of off-road and technical) as well as considering my weight Monster Pro is not a wheel for my everyday rides. But for long distance - perfect.

If it use 15.1 wh per km, then monster pro full capacity is only 15.1*201=3035 wh? Where other declared 600 wh ?

Hi Mihail, we assume that as the wheel had already 7500km on the odometer, this had a bit of an impact and the regular loss of power during use, as not all the power gets consumed by the wheel!
@VizTech3
@VizTech3 2 жыл бұрын
The wheel is in fact 3450wh not 3600wh, because gotway and veteran use incorrect voltages to calculate their capacities and then they don’t round down but round up. I.e they use 88.8v as nominal voltage, while in reality it is about 87.1v nominal. Also they use capacity of 5Ah per cell, reality is 4.9Ah and error starts stacking up. Another key thing is that the 3450wh or so is assuming the cell runs down to 2.5v(60 volts for entire pack) but the wheel runs down to only 74.5v. That’s where the rest of the 600wh is. About 3000wh is usable capacity, rest is just marketing and error stacking up.
