I now feel the need to own a W221 S-Class after watching these videos. I work at a dealership that just took in a 2010 S400 Hybrid on trade for a new Camry XLE. Can a regular guy like me afford to own and maintain a 10 (11 actually) year old Mercedes-Benz S-Class with 96,000 miles? The car is only $10,000 now and it has been properly maintained according to the previous owners and CarFax, but the stories I hear of expensive repairs are making me wonder if I should just stick to leasing my current 2019 Camry XSE. I am far from a wealthy individual.

Me Bill i have been following all of your videos for a while and I knew I was going to have this car because of how you spoke about now..I have taken it to my awesome motherland 🇲🇽about 10 times no problem I can do the drive every weekend if I wanted 😬 I can imagine how easy I can take this beast all the way to NY from SF C,A..I tried the 2020 s class to see if it can beat my s class but NOPE it sucks and the seats are stiff 🥵 Infell in love with my 2011 S550 all white hauling 2 bad ass white motorcycles 😇 I can’t wait to add a thin crash rail in the front and back 😇 thank you for all the detail you give in all your videos sir 🙏🏾 many blessings!!!

Gotta love how he describes convertibles with the roof closed. It's not just up, but always 'up and in place.' Love it! His newer stuff if usually over 40 minutes. For the love of God, he did nearly an hour on a BUICK REGAL! Funniest piece ever: Explorer Sport Trac. °alarm blares for the 3rd time° I've got the keys! I GOT THE DAMN TITLE! °alarm goes off° 😂

I've watched several of your videos and their a riot! Whenever there's a plane or a bird there's some sort of random commentary, then back to a very professional presentation. Now whenever I see a video from you guys I watch it to see if you're narrating. I don't care about the car anymore. I just want to see what you're going to say. You'll probably Versace sunglasses in the sunglass holder 🤣. These cars loose on average 50-75% value within 5 years. They are nice, but overpriced and cost too much to maintain. You can get a 5 year old s class cheaper than a Honda Accord.....good old German engineering 👌

Dave Sinrud I think it’s planned obsolescence and also to keep their dealership service departments happy and profitable. Mercedes-Benz engineers their cars to need extra unnecessary service such as replacing both the brake pads and brake rotors at the same time unlike other automakers because they know their rich clientele can pay for it and bring in the big bucks for their dealerships. Same goes for BMW, Audi and any other luxury car marques aside from maybe Lexus and Infiniti. As far as depreciation goes, these cars drop in value fast because most wealthy people are leasing these and don’t want a used car. The poor customers who buy used luxury cars understand (usually) that it will be a big investment and cost a lot to maintain which is why a 5 year old S-Class costs as much as a new Toyota Avalon. You are going to need $15,000+ on reserve for maintenance costs on that used S-Class or 7-Series.
