Great review!

The silver trims inside the Montero Sport is very prone to chipping. Luckily, the shop that services my car did a wonderful job of retouching them. My biggest complain about the Montero Sport SE is the 4 speed a/t. 1st gear is too short, but 2nd gear is too long, so if you floor the accelerator to overtake and it needs to downshift from 3rd gear, either it will drop to 1st which will result in a jerky motion with very little progress or it will go to 2nd gear which depending on your current speed and rpm, will respond properly or leave you hanging on the wrong side of the road due to its tall ratio.

Nice vlog...i own 1 too but the 4×2 and i have discovered something new....that the middle seats can be move forward and backward...thanks to you sir.

Very good review sir. I have the 3.2 GLS-SE model 1st batch. I got it in 2008 and I intend to keep it. Lakas talaga ng hatak. No replacement for displacement.

Parehas po tayo 2010 model pero strada naman sa akin. All I can say is I can completely relate to your review but considering the model of the car hindi na masama yung 1 decade na performance ng strada ko. Mine is already at 211k milage, subok na subok ko na at hanggang ngayon matibay parin. 4m41 engine sulit talaga!

We have the same exact model, 2010 gls. 10 years na pero malupet padin.

Mine is 2011 Montero GTV 4x4. Funny, It's only last March 2021 when I found out how use the headlight washer.

I drive one and it’s a very serviceable car. Nothing fancy but a worthy people chariot.

Yang gen2 montero na yan napaka bullet proof ng makina basta ok ang alaga, Nakabili ako 2ndhand till today zero sakit ng ulo for 5yrs. Btw Nice review, 👍

To unfold 3rd row seat you need to access it tru 2nd row seat , you have to fold 2nd row , for me its easier and for short people too.

I think some of the hated features are expected since it was a 2010 model vehicle, I'm not sure but nice video though. 👍🏼

I have exactly the same model (black) and the headlight wash is a TOTAL SURPRISE 😂😂. yes, all those fading trims is an eye sore. All my leather wraps in the steering wheel and the gear lever are all gone 😝. Hindi naman namin nginangatngat ni misis but it got worn out throughout the time. But I love it. Really reliable. Papopogiin ko pa rin siya kahit may bagong truck 🛻 na ako.

I also have 2010 model, but 2WD auto. Mine already reached 228.xxx kms and still running well. So far, it only needs a routine maintenance and several upgrades for driving pleasure

2009 montero amin 4x2 A/T 280k odo . Dami haters nung SUA daw, pero eto still chugging along . This year lang din na try ko ulet ma 140kph, took a bit longer to get there pero kinaya parin . OLD BUT GOLD 👍

Mas trip ko nga pano ka mag car review eh hindi scripted. Damihan mo pa mga reviews mo papi napanood ko na lahat ng vlogs mo eh. hehe

I still prefer fabric on the side door panels rather than the hard plastics (tulad ng sa Vios) kahit nauubos balahibo nya. The silver accents inside the door handle and the steering wheel add a touch of elegance (di mukhang cheap, yung iba kasi puro black/gray), expectedly mag-fade sila. But overall the Montero is a dependable workhorse, easier to maintain than the super high-tech SUVs now. Ang aga mag-check engine sa yo, 23k kms pa lang, usually sa 50k kms pa yan or more. Baka defective yung EGR valve ng sa yo.

Rare to find a manual 4x4 specially this days

Sir yung palitan mo na nang Timing Belt kasi pag naputol yun habang nagdadrive maaari itong mag cause ng Catastrophic Engine Damage dahil masisira yung Valve Sa engine

Yung GLS SE, which I own, na 3.2L 4M41 ata yung rare. Ang madalas nakikita as community of owners even yung mga VGT variants ay yung 2.5L 4D56.

how many times did he said "I hate it".. but the fact remains.. 10 years nya nakasama yan montero on many memories and special events. Nun bago yan.. I love this. i love that.. after 10 years.. i hate this.. i hate that..

Yaz sir legit. Kahit anong diesel engine 2010 pababa. Maikli tlga yung 1-3rd gear kaya hirap hirap pag eco drive. Nasanay din ako sa gas engine na kahit below 2000rpm walang vibration. Kaya ng lumipat ako ng diesel engine grabeng adjustment sa shifting ng gear hahaha

I tried driving the same model of this car 2010 GLS 4x4 manual. it was my uncle's car. Maganda gamitin and almost 300k na yung odo reading but still good as new parin yung performance.

Well overall naman ay panalo ang Montero in terms of perfomance and reliabilty.

Boss, ang kagandahan dito sa Montero mo eh manual at malakas humatak, malakas sa akyatan at kargahan, ligtas kapa sa issue ng SUA. and dagdag pa boss ganun pagka 4WD talaga matigas ang suspension kasi nakaDesign siya pangHeavy duty (kargahan).

Nilalagyan talaga ng lag kahit naturally aspirated ang engine may lag na pinoprogram ang manufacturer sa ECU para maiwasan ung pag kakamali ng apak di agad kakagat and sa emission na rin. Read the manual of the car and i understand namam

mas rare iyong v6 gas version nito. ang ayoko lang sa monty namin timing belt pa din siya and relatively maaga dapat ang palitan nito kung hindi delikado at mapapamahal ka pa ng gastos. and scratch magnet siya. parang manipis ang pintura niya. pero hindi ko alam kung ako lang iyon. otherwise, it's a very sturdy suv w/ parts easy to find.
