I deleted my 2012 LML GMC 3500 HD dually in 2016 due to incompetency at the GM dealer, they couldn’t figure out why my truck wouldn’t come out of limp mode after three regens, they wanted $9k to replace the entire exhaust system, I deleted it for less then $2k, that’s for new pipes $1200 and tune by Motor Ops $600 here in Canada. No problems ever since and getting better fuel mileage was 21.5 litres per hundred now at 16.5 per hundred, also have an extra 75 hp with the tune. Great video btw.

Look at those pretty seats!! So excited for them! Those tubes that were on that pre-Canadian exhaust were to the delta pressure sensor to tell the vehicle when the DPF is full and requires regen.

Great video. Thank you. Only thing I would recommend is not to use wd-40 on the rubber dampeners for the hangers. The wd-40 will degrade the rubber. A silicone spray lubricant won't destroy the rubber.

Jack the back of the truck up on the frame, makes way more space to get the pipe over the axle.

What do you do about the def tank and removing it from the ecm?

You replaced exhaust and kept factory down pipe? Or did you replace it as well? Have parts on the way and wondering if I need to replace down pipe as well

Will any of the sensors in the dpf or muffler cause a check engine light once they are removed?

I got a P0420 & what I gathered 9th injector needs replacing or possibly new CAT. Dumb question for you but if I delete DEF, tune & exhaust would the truck run a lot better ? Fairly new to diesels (deletes).

First time I heard my lml with the commie can off and a 5 inch straight pipe I about died from a joygasim.

LEAVE the flange on the cat converter, CUT the pipe after the DPF put in a flowmaster with a new flange pipe, clamp it & call it done. Mission accomplished without attracting attention. And easy(ier) to change back.

Shot in the dark as I am sure you’re busy but after I put exhaust on my 2012 LML I am throwing all kinds of EGR codes and in limp mode. I have been dealing with GDP and they are so slow at returning anything. Not sure what to do? It’s my farm truck and how I delivery heating oil out in the Bush.

Done 100+ LML’s. Drop the crossmember. Use floor jack to support transmission. 2 18mm bolts & 4 21mm’s... would have saved you time & kept from hacking the exhaust. Otherwise good video

Where did you get the kit from?

You don't have to make any cuts to get the stock LML exhaust out of the truck. My LML exhaust is still in one piece, hanging in the trusses of my garage.

What program can I use to Delete my DPf tank 2011 lml

I recently bought a 2015 Duramax, I’m wanting it deleted, does that mean to just get ride of all the pipe and replace with a straight pipe? Do I need to send something off to get reprogrammed?

In the US you can't delete them even if they are not on the road. The commies at the EPA are now going after the guys building race trucks. Getting ready to sell my LML and buy a pre 2007 truck. My 07 Ram is easy to work on and does not cost 2 fortunes when it needs work, 5.9 Cummins with only a catalytic converter that I could remove since I no longer live in county that does smog testing. I love simplicity, it lasts longer.

Not sure what Canadian emission laws are, but here in the US, several states require emissions test yearly. More and more states are going to that. Fines run in the tens of thousands of dollars if you get caught, not to mention the cost of reverting your truck back to stock is you stupidly cut up and threw out your old components. It's not that hard to tell if a truck of this era has been deleted. Just by the sound, or if your driving behind one the exhaust smell is a dead giveaway. EPA is really starting to crack down on this. The days of doing deletes are quickly disappearing, as well as finding a tuner that will re-tune your deleted truck. Most won't touch a deleted truck anymore. The fines for a tuning shop getting caught tuning a deleted truck run in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. New L5p's are 445Hp and 910Tq. That's WAY more than you need to pull an average fifth wheel. So why delete it? I know, it sounds cooler and you don't have to deal with that dpf system. The dpf technology is way better than it was when first introduced and will continue to get better. Hate to say it, but it's the future boys and girls. While I have done this with my trucks over the years, I certainly wouldn't be doing it to someone else's truck. That could come back to bite you in the form of a hefty fine. Just not worth it anymore!

I'm just gonna go ahead and dislike this. Sorry dude. You don't seem like you know what you are doing. Couple of tips: Learn the names of the parts. Learn how to torque a wheel properly. (There is a pattern for a reason, shouldn't bounce)
