If you look closely you can see that the broadcast timer started early for the 3rd period. When the whistle blows it is at around 1:57.

To all those saying that the time was up, the timer on the TV is just the broadcast timer, its not the official timer that the Ref and wrestlers are using on the mat. Sometimes the broadcast timers are off by as much as 3-4 seconds. Given that there didn't seem to be any kind of controversy on the mat or protest from the Russians I think its safe to assume Stieber scored before time expired.

The official timer at the table was 5 sec behind the teleprompter timer on screen. Fair win for Stieber. Hated this system of rules any ways. Now that TDs are worth 2 pts and all of your pts count in the end the US has a better chance on the international level. Now we just need sudden death overtime instead of criteria for tie breakers.

i've watched this match over and over. it was good to see logan come back hard at the end. The russian has a sick low single defense. i have been doing it and i get out and score 99% of the time.

Yea the clock they show on TV isn't official. Whatever they have at the actual match is what they go by. In fact its common for the Broadcasters clock to be off by a second or two..

Americans unfairly judged at the end of the third period the score was in favor of Ahmed Chakaev, but judge did not stop even when periud over until your fighter did not take points, that's why I have no respect for Americans in general!

This match was rigged. At 9:30 that’s chakaev’s point because he is the one to initiate the roll. If you pause and look there’s no way Steiber can roll a guy from that position. And the timing on tv and clock were fucked up.
