My mom got an Enclave this past Saturday and I just love the captain's chairs and 3rd row seats. And the ride is very smooth.

Hey, Hey! Congrats on your growing family :) Fun times! So the Enclave and Acadia are basically the same vehicle - the Enclave has more luxury and tech toys - but you'll have to pay for them :) The three - Enclave, Acadia and Explorer have functional third row seating - so it comes down to styling - drive experience and value. So - the Enclave and Acadia have been updated for 2013 - with updates you get better technology and amenities and a car that looks new longer.

@Loadfaster not on the model that I tested I believe that they (GM) was looking at incorporating it in the Enclave, but I'll have to check to see if it is available. Thanks for the kind words and the question :) Tony

I rented one of these in 2008 or 2009 and it was soo smooth. I had someone drive and I layed down in the middle on I-5 and it was like sleeping on a cloud. zero noise or bumps.

Cont'd - the Explorer is about mid - cycle and may be updated or refreshed sooner. If looking newer longer matters to you - go with the Enclave, or Acadia. (depending on your wallet :) All three are great for family use. The Ford Infotainment system has lots of critics - so you'll want to keep an eye on that. What I suggest is testing them all and using the other models as leverage with the competing dealers. The Grand Cherokee is my favorite - but it's smaller - Hope this helps!

what I meant was that the suspension has a sporty feel - yet it rides like a smooth luxury vehicle. I do this unscripted so forgive me :) haha! you can be tight and still supple right? think about it --- thanks for watching my video! Tony

@Stallion3863 Hey there! I really enjoyed my time in the Enclave. It shares it's platform with the Traverse and Acadia, but is the most upscale and has the best driving dynamics of the three -- costs the most too :) It's been listed as a recommended vehicle by Consumer Reports so I'd give it the thumbs up. Nice power, great fit and finish - lots of people & Stuff hauling capacity.

@SudoBaker cont'd the Acadia starts of at around 33k and you can take it up to 45k with upgrades. The Traverse was my least favorite - in fact I didn't edit the review because I wanted to make sure that I didn't get a lemon from the rental company. It had the least inspiring ride of the three - but it has gotten pretty good reviews from Car Mags so you'll have to see. expect to start (MSRP) at about 30k -up to 40k. I hope this helps. Let me know what you think after you test them all :)

That Buick was nicer than I thought it would be. Your review makes it appear as roomy as a limo, and I agree that a touchscreen would of been a good idea. I could see that it had automatic climate control nestled low on the center stack-always nice. How was that wood trim? Your reviews are always top shelf Tony. Keep up the great work!! Ryan

Oops. Funny u mention the "Touch Screen" I was just thinking this morning that everyone thinks Touch Screens are cool but I am starting to think when the whole car is touch screen on the dash we will miss the physical buttons and the hardware and all of its glorious design work. And u would think it would be cheaper in the long haul to put a touch screen over manufacturing dials knobs switches, buttons, if you in cooperate all the functions in the 1 touch screen.

nice review, don't know why you picked on absence of touch screen, i think its not a big deal considering car has no navi. if it had navi, i would understand, but touch screen to control audio and climate suck. I will take physical buttons any day of the week. they are more convenient, you can feel them without having to take your eyes off the road...etc.

I love you're videos, very uninformative for the average soccer mom. I'm trying to decide on a new vehicle for my family of 3(soon expanding) and our dog. We travel between NC and TX quite a bit and hit the beach alot, I'm wanting to get out of our 07 Sonata. Right now it's between the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, Acadia, Explorer, and Enclave. If you had to rate from these choices, how would you rate them?

@TheMediaMart If you like the Enclave, you'll fall heads over hells w/ the original cross-over option to the minivan...the R350 Mercedes Benz. Check it out.

I agree great car. But you will have a leaking roof with those sunroofs. unless you store it indoors you will be the proud owner of an expensive fish tank

hey tony great review i have a question my family is buying a 2012 enclave in black with black leather it is the 2012 leather package enclave what 2012 enclave did u review i think it has to be the premium or leather package because the other 2 packages dont have leather but overall would u recomend this vechicle i would like2 know ur opinion because i actually did my research already and researched other optins such as the traverse but which would u recomend im buyin 1.. 2day so i need answer

@SudoBaker Hey - I've test all three - check out my review of the Acadia if you haven't already done so. Here's the average guy's take: they are all basically built off of the same platform - so seating and storage capacity is very similar. For my money the Enclave is the way to go - you can get into one for about 38K with AWD and you can option up to over 45K easily. This vehicle had the best ride and lux feel to me. The second choice would be the Acadia -- the styling is more vanilla

Do you know if the roof leak problem has been taken care of in the newer Enclaves? Looking to buy within two weeks and have heart set on sunroof but all the leak talk I read about has me thinking I'll pass on some extra sun on my head.

what model did you test here (cxl, etc.) and how much $ was it worth. It seemed nicely equiped, but i saw a few things missing.

@TheMediaMart love this car, I just brought a 2011 Chevy Impala a few months ago a she is smooth on the highway, and the next 3 years I might be interested in another GM vehicle, can you do a video on the LaCrosse or Regal? And also I am not a big fan of Asian Vehicles but I do like the Acura TSX could you do a video on that one(not the wagon model I think that is ugly)
