Waste of money other than the nice tips. Those look great! Should have removed the suitcase resonator. 4 cats is plenty of sound reduction. Install long tube headers/ cat delete if you want something fantastical.

Volume's about right & sounds good. Any more than that & it soon gets old on a convertible, trust me I've been there

I have a 2012 Camaro SS Coupe and it didn't have valves. I just had that big resonator in the middle. I'm guessing it's just for convertibles.

Listening to a car standing still, or even for a few minutes, doesn’t mean much. How does it sound after driving it for a half hour or more at 70 mph? I didn’t understand what rasph was until I messed around with my exhaust. Went back to stock after hating the car for a couple of months.

I always wondered where the whooshy sound came from on these. I actually kinda like it from the interior so I'd probably try to keep the spring-loaded valves if I had one.

Take the resonator off as well and put a jegs x pipe on.

I did this with my 2010 Camaro 2ss. I noticed that even with Longtubes it still wasn't as loud I I'd wanted it. Started by removing the mufflers and it was STILL a bit quiet. The best thing to do is remove that long ass resonator and replace it with an x-pipe. Once I did that, it finally woke up a bit. The crazy part is it's still pretty tame. Theres a tiny bit of drone at low rpms but its not obnoxiouly loud until you get on it. Then it screams.

I have flowmasters on my 11 2ss.......anybody have any thoughts about taking those off and going for a straight pipe? My Corvette is straight piped (just mufflers off and welded tips back on) it sounds lovely and not stupid loud

I've been thinking the same. I have the flowmaster fx axle-back. I'm doing lotss of research before I delete. Have you thought about what you want yet??

@@jasminrose9714 unfortunately all I have known is to have my local pro muffler shop to do is cut the mufflers off and weld pipes between the cats and tips. Simple enough. Sounds good on my Corvette.

"Cregger"? You mean Cragar. I would go back to the stock size 20-in rims and replace them with some Cragar Drag Star rims or American Racing Torq Thrusts rims.

My V6 SOHC 4.0 with a 12” cherrybomb glasspack has a deeper growl then that. Lmao. Cut the 36” stock off it. She pops a good bit.

Oh hell No! This is way too far out of hand. You can barely hear this car and sounds no different than a stock Pontiac Vibe, and that's a damn shame 🤔 Owner should have just run open manifolds, which is hands down the best setup and provides optimal back pressure and reduced chance of Hardparking at autocross and drag racing events on these 2012 Chevy Camaro SS 6.2L's.
