A actually more reasonable and realistic description: The San Andreas Earthquakes occured in the year 2012, about 3 days until the Mayan Calendar ended and the Great Flood occured. The earthquakes were one of the first chain of events that occured during the 3 day period between December 18th and December 21st (when the calendar ended.) Events before 12/18: On December 17th at 8:46 PM PST, a large earthquake occured in the Los Angeles area (nearby Manhattan Beach.) The earthquake caused a split in the Earth, the spilt even reportedly cut through a grocery store full of people, but no one was reported to be dead or injured. Authorities who survived Doomsday and worked for the former US Geological Survey now think that this earthquake was a precursor to the events that were going to occur within the next 18 hours. December 18th and the Great San Andreas Earthquakes: On December 18th (presumably early in the morning around 9 or 10 AM PST) Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger gave a statement insuring the citizens of California that no seismic activity was detected after the earthquake over 12 hours earlier. (We now have information that the Governor never received a copy of the report sent in on the cataclysmic events about to unfold within the next 3 days. He also was to be assigned to evacuate on the same day that he gave his statement.) While Governor Schwarzenegger gave his statement, CalTech and the US Geological Survey detected activity in the San Andreas fault line. And at 10:58 AM, the last document received from CalTech stated that: "12/18/12: Seismic activity detected on the fault. A earthquake possibly of 8.1 or higher can and will occur in the next few minutes. Large amounts of land along the coast are reportedly sinking into the ocean. Evacuate no---" At 11:00 AM, a large earthquake of 10.1 on the Richter Scale occured in Irvine. 5 minutes later, a 9.1 struck Ontario. 10 minutes alter, a 10.1 reportedly struck San Diego and Tijuana. And within the hour, quakes between 9.1 and 10.1 struck the state and cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento, and more. And 2 hours after the quakes occured, the Cascadia Fault was activated. That was known as the Great Northwest Earthquakes. But since that is a different topic, let's go back to California. After the earthquakes struck Los Angeles, large amounts of land was being lifted up before falling back to the ground, cracks that were miles wide popped out between Ontario and Irvine, buildings collapsed, and more. And then at 11:30 AM, reports started coming in about areas along the coast being lifted from the earth, and sinking. Aftermath: Due to the earthquakes, the states and provinces of Baja California, Baja California Sur, California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and Alaska were decistated. On December 19, California (with most of its state government wiped out and it's economy, buildings, and everything else virtually destroyed), disbanded the state government and power turned directly to the US Government. This didn't last long though due to Doomsday occurring 2 days later, and most of the American Mainland destroyed. There can be no exact death toll of the earthquakes but estimates report that possibly 24 or 30 million people died in the earthquakes.

I'm guessing mostly everything between San Francisco and San Diego and Tijuana sunk (possibly down to Cabo San Luca or La Paz in Baja California if it as that bad) and mostly. Ye the whole state would have been destroyed by the earthquakes and aftermath either way.
