While we expressed our dissatisfaction for the Nissan Maxima and the A/C not working, welp here is the solution. This is not a how to video but more of a recap plus tips and tricks we wanted to share with the fellow DIY world. We assume nothing, we just hope you all know what your getting yourself into!

I was glad to find this video. It showed me that this is possible to fix without removing the ac compressor. I bought the clutch kit on ebay for 109$. That is the solinoid, bearing and clutch plates and needed Hardware/shims. Not discussed in the video is the necessary shimming to get the correct air gap.

Hey man do you know where the AC compressor relay is located?

I have a 2011 Maxima SV and my A/C is blowing out cold but not Ice cold like it used to. I was driving kinda fast one day and it blew out. I'm hearing a weird grinding noise now and then and the A/C is not running. Wondering if it's coming from the A/C compressor or the pully. Is it best to change the A/C Compressor anyway?

Given the age of the vehicle I would recommend replacement of the entire A/C unit. Thanks for watching!

Amazon is your best friend! I googled it and found a vendor out of South Florida. Fast shipping. I was happy with the part. The only PITA is the air gap. Otherwise, a great find! Thanks for watching!

Where is it located, under the hood or under the car?

Its located under the hood and under the car. Access through the passenger side wheel well.

Only part I’m having trouble with is the 3 screws inside the electromagnet. They won’t budge and pretty sure one stripped out now. Arghhhhh
