2012 Mazda 3 Battery / Alternator Issue?

3 жыл бұрын2012 Mazda 3. Was dead after not driving for a month. Jumped it and it started right up. Multimeter in windshield is connected to the battery. I go through increasing idle, lights on and off, and turning the wheel. Power steering turns off then back on as I turn the wheel. The radio also usually resets as I do this.
I let the car idle for 30 minutes straight. After this video, I turned off the vehicle. When I tried to start the car again it wouldn't even spin the starter.
I then took out the battery and had Autozone test it. It took a while for them to charge, but they stated the battery was fine. Battery is a Duralast Gold purchased less than 2 years ago. Battery manufactured Dec 2018.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue! Do you think this is an alternator issue? Thanks in advance

Fully charging the battery outside the car fixed it. Then it went bad about a year later

@@mike2106 thanks for your reply Mike, I just got it checked you are right they told me that the car battery was below 10% and failed which is what caused the steering lock issue so I bought a new battery everything works back to normal.

What was the issue? The fuse,alternator itself?

Actually I just fully charged the battery and it's worked fine as long as I've driven it each week. 🤷
