Here in this video you will be able to observe the procedure to replace a footwell module, this module controls most of the electronics inside the car. It controls the headlights, turn signals, horn, window regulators, door locks, sun roof, among other things.
The footwell module CAN be DAMAGED by jump starting the engine with jumper cables or even a jump starter.
If the battery dies for any reason, DON’T EVER EVER jump start your engine. As a safety measure you can just remove the battery and connect a charger to it, or you can just replace it.

A new part is quite expensive, & requires especial equipment to code the new unit to your car.
BUT there’s another option, you can send your footwell module to a company that specializes in repairing them. You could do a quick google search to try to find a company that does just that.
