2012 Nissan Versa SL
Sedan Version of the Nissan Versa comes with a 1.6L DOHC 4 cyl which makes only 109 HP & it's paired to a CVT (Standard 5MT). The Older Versa Hatchback which is still offered comes with a 122 HP 1.8L 4 cyl. While it also comes with a CVT, that version comes standard with a tastier 6MT.
So sorry but there was very little good for me to say about this car. Other than the great rear seat legroom & the massive trunk, car is a let down IMO. It's like Nissan built this car having rental car agencies in mind. The most basic S model starts at around $11K but would you really want to drive something so bare bones? Best getting a good used 2-4 y/o car of better quality & offer more amenities. Like a 07 Civic, Accord, or even an 08 Altima or Sentra if you're into Nissan. Heck even the Versa Hatchback would probably be more fun to drive with it's bigger 1.8L engine + having the option of a 6 speed manual as this newer sedan offers a 5 speed & the smaller engine which is quite a pathetic move. I will admit tho, I would much prefer to drive this than the Smart car lol

Guys this guy has high expectations, he's a person with no money asking for a 2014 bmw, i recently just purchased a Nissan versa 2012, and I love it! Go for it! And this car is good on gas. From me perspective this car is amazing.

These are great on gas unlike my 2009 Lexus IS 250. It’s a fun, fast and smooth car but it only takes premium. Plus it has a V6 in it. A friend of mine has a Nissan like the one in your video and it’s impressive for sure on the fuel. Light and a 4 cylinder car.

Not everyone in the world can afford fancy Mercedes, high-end Rolls-Royces, or a prestigious Genesis. Some people can even afford a fancier Nissan. Some people can't even afford this car and end up taking buses. So stop acting entitled and learn the value of a dollar.

The port at 3:34 looks like the OBDII (vehicle diagnostics) port. Usually it would be located under the dash on the driver's side.

Good review, I was actually thinking of buying a Versa base model but I am now reconsidering after seeing the poor build quality and quality of materials used in the more luxurious SL model shown here in the video. Just imagine how bad the base model interior seat fabrics and carpeting must be! The Versa pros are roominess in a small car and decent fuel mileage. Otherwise if you think you hate it now, just wait til you drive it.

I love the previous hatchback version much better! I sat in a fully-loaded hatchback model, while it's not the best in class, it's a luxury car compared to this! Not to mention it looks way better. I was actually considering getting it. I know Nissan could do so much better than this. Would've loved to seen that Nismo Z!

The funny thing is the knock on this car's interior is that it's all "Hard touch plastic". However, I can remember our 1980's Corolla's interior that was all hard touch METAL. Now that car felt like you were climbing into a dumpster, the doors kinda whanged when you closed them. This hard touch plastic is luxury compared to that cold hard painted metal interior in that 80's Toyota Corolla.

I definently don't think I'll get this vehicle at all, with all those gaps and hard touch surfaces, and also the oh shoot handles missing haha. I really hate hard surfaces in cars too. Remember me, I asked if you compare honda and nissans for me. I still haven't bought a new vehicle yet, still have my '05 explorer. I was actually considering the ford fiesta SEL sedan instead of the CR-V. That car gets 39 or 40 mpg highway.

Why anyone would buy a car like this brand new amazes me. For 10k you can get a low mileage 5-6 year old German machine with far better fit and finish and overall quality. Sure, maintenance may be more of an issue, but the car you get is far better than a shitbox versa that will be worth pebbles in a matter of months, if it doesn't fall apart first

Not the best looking thing to come from Nissan but still better looking than the new hideous looking Sentra! Nissans used to be really nice and super dependable years ago unlike many today although there are some modern exceptions like most Infinitis, the 370Z and the GT-R which are gorgeous. Oh well this will probably be good as a rental or as a pizza delivery car...

Tat Versa Just Pissed All Over The Altima.. But WTH Is Nissan Thinking ? The 2013 Altima Is Awesome. But What Happened To The Versa. And The Downsizing Engines To Get More Mpg Is Dumb... This car is a major letdown. It's cheap, slow, noisy, boring to look at, and a step backwards. The only good thing I can say is that it will be extremely safe. The IIHS gave it a Top Safety Pick.
