Thanks for the video, I'm checking it out years following but you did a good job at pointing out its features. People w/adverse comments from behind the screen...that typical cowardliness.

Most manufacturers have combined their pre-collision systems with their adaptive cruise feature since they both use the same radar/laser sensor, it's not just Porsche. ACC isn't supposed to let you sleep behind the wheel, it's there so you can relax a bit during long journeys. Pre-collision systems and lane keeping assist features are just there to help if you make a mistake- which do happen, even if you're a really good driver. It has nothing to do with whether or not you 'need' the feature.

Adaptive cruise control means you also get Porsche Active Safe (PAS), a pre-collision system similar to Mercedes-Benz's Pre-Safe system, which is a safety feature in my book.

Yeah. But you should not be so asleep behind the wheel to rely on an ACC system in the first place. I can understand the PAS in sudden heavy fog ect. PAS is a safety feature, ACC is not. Porsche, however, has combined them. Same with seats that vibrates or buzzers that buzz when you go over the line. If you need such a feature, you're dangerous behind the wheel.

It's amazing to me how dated the Cayenne looks only 7 years later-really just 2 years later because this interior continued through the 2017 model year.

Parking sensors are not safety features but anti-moron-parking features. Adaptive cruise control? Well if that's a safety feature for you, you should not be driving. Same if you need lane change assist. STOP SAYING SAFETY FEATURE!!! Those things are not safety features, but meant to make your life a little easier and it unfortunatly is also believed to help those that should not be driving in the first place. Airbags are a safety feature.
