Absolutely stellar drive from Whincup! The consistency in pounding out those quali lap times and lap records over and over was incredible. Huge bummer for Davison but great job to hold onto second. What a race!

Was at this race with two other mates. We were in between turns 4 and 5. Was my birthday on the Sunday. Was a fantastic weekend. Nothing beats being there in person and hearing the sound of the V8's!!!! Fond memories and I hope to do it again one day!!!!

Thanks a lot for this! The re-runs get shown on Motors TV in Belgium, but the commentary is attrocious! They commentators don't know anything about the drivers....and to be fair, hearing Crompo, Skaife and co chatting forms a big part of the race :)

Never thought id see the day that v8 supercars would start uploading the full races. My faith has been restored in the head honchos after the MAJOR COCK UP by channel 7 in hamilton

Ive seen them a few times. Pretty awesome the sound they make when they start off the grid. When they change gears unburnt fuel explodes in the exhaust. Sounds mad. They are also pretty damn quick for a touring car

I've been catching these races over the years and it's good to see the V8s and the broadcasters of the series taking the winning elements of NASCAR and BTCC (WTCC?) and really making their own formula. This is really top racing. Wouldn't mind seeing them on some of the European tracks.

I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is, but I just find NASCAR much more entertaining. And not just for the crashes either. But I can sit and watch 3 NASCAR races in a night, but with the V8 supercars I get bored 10 laps in. Now the old (pre '93) ATCC, that was some entertaining racing!

well i dont think they should really stop f1 going to singapore because to me singapore gp is a very interesting race in many ways, especially some of the crashes!

Kind of reminds me of the way NASCAR used to be, the cars looked more real,and the commentators weren't complete goobers. I hope we can get a touring division like this in North America, so we can have an alternative to NASCAR. And so what if they are on road courses, the Supercar series have figured out a way to make the cars competitive even on road courses. Nascar road course races are usually a snooze fest, but not these guys.

I see lots of comments from North America wishing for this event to come to the States. The V8 supercars are coming to America in 2013 and will race at the new (unfinished, I believe) Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Can't wait for this one and will make the trek from Canada for this one!!! Dates TBA. If anyone has free tickets for me and a buddy, I'd love to know!!! ;) Check out the V8Supercars site for news.

An Holden again proves why they are superior

It's like muscle cars. the V8's the Sports, the Stock is the Muscle. Muscle cars can pawn you in a straight line or without the many curves. But the sports-car will always beat the muscle. they should honestly take 20 NASCAR cars and 20 V8 Supercars. first race at Talledega and then at Sanoma. Oh ya, they should do the same with the the Camping World Trucks and the V8 Utes as well! Cheers from Canada

And although there won't be factory supprt from Germany the boffins over there will still bask in the glory for winning races or if they don't make a mark they'll say they had no part in it. I think we'll see SBR being bought by the Erebus outfit, it will be sad to see One of the most Successful teams from living memory going to another manufacturer, but at least it isn't a Holden.
