love the unique design on this car

His voice is like spoon in a spin dryer. The screen is set this way so your hand can rest on the edge as you select the button with your pointing finger. No stabbing or jabbing. Simple and very user friendly.

What I think many people like about CNET and their car reviews is the fact that they focus a lot on the technology in the cars (and outside), something which many other reviewers do now.

The system is the same as Jaguars. The screen turning black when you push a button can be turned off. Go to settings then animation.

I like Ford and I like their engines so I'm fine with an Ecoboost engine under the Evoque's hood. But at this price, I'd rather see them make the 2.3L Twin-scroll Ecoboost engine as standard instead of this 2.0L one with turbo lag.

a lot of cars avoid that problem without an inset, which in a touch screen system, should be an ergonomic must.

For an auto-mobile like that in 40,000 price range,it's not that bad.It looks way better and cooler then the other Range/Land Rivers.Plus from all the reviews I've seen especially Top Gear,it's a solid good car to buy.

We were just looking at one of these which is obviously used now. I just can't get past the 4 banger ford and the stereo nav system. Scotty Kilmer says these are like cash machines for mechanics. The styling is amazing though. Love the 3 door.

i compared both GLK vs this and went with the 2014 GLK blu tech (AWD) and saved $8000.

I would say pretty good review. it is not like other reviews where all they say is "this car is great. i love it. its fast. end scene." this guy at least has the balls to get into the depth of the not so good things about the car.

would you believe that my 2012 range rover Evoque is still rolling literally like a monster it's a fast beautiful luxury and VERY comfortable and I'm not thinking of buying a new one because it looks the same!! and wow great coincidence my Evoque is Red too just like this but I have the full opinions one like chrome everywhere even on the roof, the only problem with it is the freaking cigarette lighter I literally fixed it like 15 times and after a week it's just STOPPED WORKING I really wish to know the reason why that happens to me😂😂 but after all, it's just a 12V outlet and that's will not make me even thinking of selling it, in 2012 I waited 9 months for this beautiful gorgeous monster to arrive and now we are in 2022 and the car just looks the same as the delivery day i love it from my heart and taking care like one of my children for it just

Looks cool but the engine should have been in house developed and exclusive to LR. Somehow stuffing a V8 under there and even raising the price $15K would make it very special. The chop top look is really outstanding.

Possibly people are not looking at getting a heavier and bigger SUV maybe? Also, I wouldn't necessarily bag all Ford engines either. Some of the current engines are just updated versions of previous Ford engines if you will...

Why would you ruin a new car by adding a ford engine. Not saying it's a bad engine for I never drove the car, but it gives people a bad feel especially if the brand you're buying for has the "heart" of the car not made by the same company.

Britain is also the leader in building the most high tech cars in the world , namely Formula One racing cars. Better do some research before you make another comment sweetheart.

This car is about R$ 175.000,00 here in Brazil. Thats something like $ 83,000... our minimum wage is something like $ 340 Import taxes here are fucking disgusting....

What about the dual view monitor, where is it mentioned here? Get over, you are asking for "gas" label on the gas pedal ! Too much . That terrain setting got standard label, drive some good cars around with terrain setting. Parking indicator, again will you like it if it makes the annoying screaming sound for on and off ?

why dont we just chose a LR4. i mean for $6k more you get a much more capeable SUV, a true LR engine(not a ford ecoboost with a LR badge) and some more road presence.

The screen is Not flush with the rest of the console because of glare from the son light i rather have a screen thats viewable thats a bit harder to touch than a screen i can barely see in the day time thats easy to touch

Cnet should not be doing car reviews, over use of the word controversial and the infomercialesque inability on how to use simple things. Sadly I have been inside cars with people like this, they get upset over petty stuff and over react like its the end of the world. It's a good thing. Why would you want to see reviews where they say good things about crappy cars? You want lies? Go to the dealer.

This guy is NOT A CAR REVIEWER. I understand that he's a Cnet guy and trying to explain to you how poor the interface is within the car, but most rich people buying this are OLD and have no idea how to use this stuff anyway - nor will they ever. If they need to know, they'll simply read the manual or ask a technician. They don't test drive multiple cars so they'll never know how this car stacks up against others.

It says what they mean on the screen in the dash, which is where you should be looking anyways. Beside, would you really except all the settings to be written out in that little amount of space especially considering one of the Settings is "Grass, Gravel Snow." Have to agree about the address input screen though the way it blacks out after ever button push is ridiculous.

Navigation should be STANDARD on all these fucking things. If you don't want it - you delete it and save money. Then it's a SHITTY nav system compared to Uconnect touch in the Chrysler 300 (and other Chrysler's/Dodge's)
