This video details the steps taken to remove the factory 8-inch LCD screen from the 2013-2014 Honda Accord. This particular vehicle is being retrofitted with a touch panel overlay to provide touch-based controls for Rostra's SoftTouch Navigation System, part number 250-7618.
When using a SoftTouch navigation system by Rostra, your vehicle's audio system retains all of its original OEM built-in functionality including the use of all factory touch screen options, factory radio controls, and the use of its factory backup camera system (if equipped). When the SoftTouch system is added, you immediately have access to premium maps from iGo Primo which includes turn-by-turn directions, over 6 million points of interest (POI), and 3D navigation functionality. And accessing the SoftTouch system is as simple as pressing a button.

Thank you for the detailed instructions and information. Fixed display showing lines after hitting road bump. Removing and plugging cables was the cure.

Thanks for your video! We had a loose connection on the back of the LCD screen and fixed it using this video. Dealer would probably have charged a grand to replace the screen.

Dealership tried to charge me over 1800 for radio and screen, the radio worked fine the display had the freakish colors. The connection pins just needed to be scraped a few times, its worked for 2 plus years. this video was a wallet saver .

I hit a pothole on Lamar ave here in Memphis by the truck stop and my info screen went blank with lines . Well I panicked and ran to the dealership and the salesman at autonation Honda said the screen was bad and needed to be replaced for 600 with labor added . I ask the lady did you even ask the technician to toggle the plugs to make sure they were secure . She replied yes . Well after going to a import autoshop they took the radio out and we tried several different used screens which neither would work . Well I went back out and wiggled those plugs the guy said to wiggle and I be damn if the two used screens didn’t appear good as well as the old screen the dealer said was bad . This lesson cost me 220$ (labor to take out unit and gas to go back and forth to Massey’s in Millington for the parts ) when all the dealership had to do was wiggle the wires like I asked them to do . The crook that lied to me was Stephanie Reed at autonation Honda on 385 hacks cross road and I am discussing her options with management there as we speak .

I just had the same thing happen to me (ran over pothole and screen stopped working and has funky lines and colors running through it, though all audio works just fine). I'm also being told I likely need a new screen. What plugs/wires did you end up toggling/wiggling?

I am trying to find a video for just replacing the lens on the display. I bought mine used and it has a large annpying scratch on it i know the part is about 74 bucks. But i dont want to pay the dealership to put it on. Probably charge me 200 bucks or more to put it on.

I have some sort of spots on the inside of the plastic lens of the display. If I remove the display from the dash, does the plastic lens cover come off to allow me to clean it on the inside?

Hi guys before you go to the dealer make sure to check the cable at 9:09 this cable if you follow to the back connects to another port. When the car hits the pothole this connector most likely came loose. So I pushed it back in and I saved myself 120 dollars. Hope this helps save you 120 as well.
