Good install video. And yet I’m just a bit concerned about trashing the new extended warranty I purchased earlier this week. Sure would be nice have a factory Apple car play option. I’m falling asleep and will hit this later.

Factory warranty will be retained as long as the product is installed correctly.

Hello Guys, I have contacted a local supplier and he has told me that he has fitted this unit before and it will not show in landscape, after watching your video , you have this working in landscape, he insisted he knew what he was talking about, any advice please on if this could be an issue

Depending on the phone, app and phone settings some images may not go into landscape. For example, the iPhone Home Screen on the newer iPhones will not go landscape as it’s pointless to see the home icons in full screen. All video and map apps will show in landscape

Do i need to keep my phone in landscape for it to mirror as landscape on the LS460 screen?

canoeshoe depends on the application for iPhones. Video players usually will automatically go landscape on the screen for you. Apps such as maps will need your phone to be in landscape to mirroring as landscape on the screen.

If i switched from android to apple, i'll need to get soemthing like the screenbeam for apple? is there anyway that component can be mounted so i dont have to remove the entire center console to get to where the android screenbeam plugs in?

If you would like to achieve wireless mirroring with your Apple Phone, you will need to install an Apple TV in your vehicle. You may use a longer HDMI cable and route it to a more accessible location so that you may switch between screenbeam and Apple TV easier.

If you can launch android auto app on the android device independently you can mirror this onto the screen.

Hi @Beat-Sonic just wondering when I connected to my ls 460 using Apple device via lighting adapter, the picture seems very bluer. Are there any suggestions? Will the wireless Android-based adapter make any different?

The quality will not be as sharp as what you see on your phone as the factory screen resolution is much lower. However, depending on the application you are using the quality can vary. For example, when using map application we recommend you use Waze. For video applications it should display with great quality. For any additional assistance please email us at info@beatsonicusa.com

We have not made the carplay for LS460, but the phone mirroring that we have can do so much more without limitations :)
