I had the resonator deleted on my Audi A5, here is some clips of before and after.

I have a 2013 A3 8V MQB platform 2.0T Quattro (wow that was a mouthful) but I am ordering a res delete now and I am very exceited. I was not trying to spend 1,200 today as I just got the APR ECU/TCU stage 1 tune/ inlet pipe/turbo muffler delete and a few other goodies. So I'm hoping it's not TOO loud, but lets see!

Just got this done to my 2014 A5. Thank you so much for this video it sounds exactly the same. I have the CTS Turbo High flow cat, CTS Downpipe, and resonator delete. I kept the muffler and it sounds just amazing. ( resonator delete cost me $120! )

Thanks for the vid! Wish my A5 sounded like yours. Did your A5 come with the paddle shifters? Mine doesn’t have them. And wow that Holden looks cool, would love to see vids on your other cars!

Thanks! Will be sure to get some more videos soon! My A5 did come with Paddle Shifters, not sure if the steering wheel I have is the original one or not though! But everything works non the less!!

loui loui mines Quattro, but I’m in the US. Mines a 2013 A5 Quattro Premium Plus and it came with no paddles :(

@@user-vv6ns5dw4v the ones in the US I've noticed don't all come with paddles for some reasons. Bit stupid if u ask me but tbh u don't really need paddles or u can always get a new steering wheel if u really want them

loui loui yeah paddles are kind of useless, I bet they’re fun for a bit and they’re probably nice to have, they look cool and serve a purpose but aren’t a necessity. And you’re right I could get a different wheel and all that but that’s kinda pricey for me lol, I think I’ll stick to using the shifter in manual mode for fun :)

I was told you have to get a cat-less down pipe to produce that Burble and cackle sound but I hear it on yours so what’s up with that ?

You have both deleted or just one. It sounds good. I have and 2012 A5 2.0t and been thinking about deleting one and maybe a muffler delete.

Hey bro Legit did this today and took the center resonator off as stated. Doesn't sound anything close to your car. Now i am tempted to take the 2nd resonator out to see what that does. Please be accurate and post on your description whats been done vs having most of us having to ask over and over whats been done, which clearly is inaccurate and costly. Just a thought. If anything, it may help your channel grow. No hate. Cheers.

Thanks mate! I am not too sure if it would change that much, think the bangs and pops would be a little less exuberant if it wasn't tuned but I think if it wasn't tuned it would still sound good.

I’m trying to decide wether to remove the resonator or the back mufflers right now! Any suggestions? I want more noise out of the car mainly. Do you think the mufflers delete would give me those crackles?

Muffler delete sounds amazing but there will be Drone, get a bottle resonator and replace the stock resonator and get an electronic exhaust valve so you can open and close it for sound or silence

Thanks 😎 It currently has an APR Stage 1 Tune, might go to stage 2 eventually but probably not much after that!

Hey Mate! Overall its been very reliable if you can pick one up from someone who has looked after it, The water pump for me did go at around 120k but I was expecting it as everyone said it would. other than that no issues 👍

Just got the resonator delete on my Audi A5 2.0l sounds exactly the same as this but doesn’t crackle I assume the backfire and crackle is a ecu tune

Would you recommend a cold air intake in the A5? If so which one goes well as in which brand cold air intake? Also please recommend any upgrade as I don’t really know much about cars thanks:)

cAmEl D YES. I have a 2014 A5 2.0T a cold air intake is one of the best mods in my opinion. As soon as you install it you can hear your turbo sooo much louder. I have the K&N Typhoon!

MrCurtis oooo that’s alright bro I have a better plan actually I’m going to the wreckers and im gonna find the same exact Audi A5 2.0 2014 one side exhaust and buy the copy of my current stock exhaust from there wreckers and then start turning it into my own cat back exhaust instead of buying a $3000 car back from magnoflow, know what I mean? And then I’ll make it sound much better then the expensive ones and also it will be a bolt on as well so I wouldn’t have to ankle grind off like a lot of idiots do 😂

I legit did the same setup as you did minus the tune. Deleted the center resonator. Car is still quiet. Should I take out the other one?

I took out both my resonators and blew my my muffler after a week. Best setup is to have at least 1 resonator.

I have the same car but Sportback, has 2 resonators in the centre and I took one of them off and it makes absolutely no difference.

When in drive just toggle the gear lever back slightly and the D in the instrument cluster will change to S

Hey mate, nah never had any grief, don't think there is too much they can do because when the car is just idling it is quite as stock, only when you give it some stick it makes some noise

So I just got my rear resonator removed and there is no crackling or barely any if there is. I think you have to tune it to get that!

Correct, you need to get overun mapped in, from memory the tiniest bit of fuel it sent unburnt to the exhaust where it ignites and gives the pops

AusMotorsport Garage ahh I see, not sure if you would know the answer to this or not but if I replace my steering wheel with one similar to yours (the one I have doesn’t have paddles cause not sline) but if I got a new wheel with paddles and I connected everything do you know if they’d work at all

AusMotorsport Garage oh okay, thanks man I appreciate it! How many miles does your A5 have? I have 106K miles and have it stock right now, the car has been babied from previous owners but I’m not sure if I should give it a strage1 tune or not due to mileage

I bought mine on 100k and got the tunr done at about 110k and now its up to 123k. No problems so would defs reccomend!
