YES!! The Scatty’s Competition is the SS and the SS would still beat it (depending on the driver as well). So, imagine the ZL1 with more power and a supercharged V8 as well. There’s no way a Scatty could beat the ZL1 😅

Yes a scat pack is almost 5000 pounds 450hp to the wheels this zl1 is 580 to the motor about 500 to the wheels do the math.

hugo molina, wrong..in a strait line stock for stock they are surprisingly close in acceleration tests despite the ZL1 being SC'd with a claimed 95 more HP, & weighing less. In the turns though the ZL1 will out handle a Stock suspension'd SP with ease

Thomas Leonard, 0-60 is easily the most overrated performance test number in modern performance cars. ( 0-60 #'s mean nothing to me)..the first chance you get go line up a SP "Challenger" with the A8 trans vs a gen 5 ZL1 in a 1/4 mile race, then tell me what happens. I like the ZL1 especially the way they handle, but with 580hp/560tq @4050lbs, & its $54k price they should've been close to 11.8 bone stock instead of 12.3, & its top speed should've been over 190mhp stock, instead of its 180mph..I'm way mores impressed (acceleration wise) with N/A Challenger SP, especially for it weighing 4260lbs..screw 0-60. It's a low 12 on street tire bone stock, & 180mph top seed for only $41k

hugo molina, take this anyway you want, but stop making blanket statements. Be specific! He beats you in what race? Is his car stock? Is your car stock? Is his car manual/auto? Is your car manual, or auto ?, etc..

+H Mack both auto I got a intake and a flow master on mine and his is bone stock in a straight line from red light to the next light it's not a blank statement I just don't got tons of time to replay I love my scatty but I accept the fact that there's a lot quicker cars

How reliable are they? I'm currently looking for one with low miles. How did they hold up?

cbzo6, on a track/course Most definitely, but stock for stock a 15 Challenger SP vs a Stock 12-14 ZL1 run virtually identical acceleration times give, or take ".1-.2" even though the Challenger SP weighs 250lbs more, & is advertised at 95 less HP then the ZL1. Don't take my word for it, go look up the et's on both of them

The numbers on paper are close but at the track I never see a scat pack run better than a 12.8 👍

I've seen SP's with only a set of DR's hit 11.7 @116mph (no tune, no boltons, just tire)..it all depends on DA, temp, & 60 ft..the SP's I've seen hit 11's were all Challengers thought. I haven't seen any Charger SP hit under 12.2

I drag race my Camaro and know DR make a Huge difference. Stock for stock if money was on the line I would put it all on the ZL1. Thanks for your input it was valid. Take care

Use my back seat all the time. Was going to by a C6 Vette but being I have a family I wanted the back seat so I could take the wife and kids around and have fun. The trunk is actually pretty good sized it's just the small opening.

If you want back seats trade in that challenger for a charger or a Prius

Brady Skeen agreed. Had a 2012 SS as a daily for 4 years. Trunk is surprisingly big but getting anything through that odd shaped opening was frustrating. Especially if you couldn’t stand it up and then lean/slide it in. But honestly if I needed to do any real hauling I’d buy a truck.

It's just not that fast. Similar to newer models with less hp. Some cars don't give you the "feeling" your going that fast.

Yeah Jon is correct. The car is fast for sure but it doesn't feel as dramatic as I'd like it to. Probably due to the transmission.
