Just bolt on, I plan on getting the invidia catless downpipe, that requires a tune. But a cat back does not. Make sure you pay good money on the install to avoid possible leaks or poor labor.

Yea, the in cabin noise is not very loud but you still get a nice rumble when you give it some. But out side is much louder. If u get a chance have some one do a pull while you stand out side, its pretty loud. And I have heard the dp should make it fairly louder.

***** From a drone standpoint, this exhaust probably gives you the loudest rumble from the outside with minimal drone on the inside. I've had my buddy drive it a few times and it sounds great under WOT, but shifting at 3k I would say you can barely hear it unless you're driving right next to it with your windows down and radio off. I would just like it a little louder personally. I'm relying on the downpipe to reach the level of loudness I'm hoping for.

drumline249 yea im also looking to get a downpipe and tune for louder exhaust and more power. Catless is the way to go for sure. Remember that the q300 is probably one of the quieter exhausts for the wrx. If you want something louder then id suggest the invidia N1 race cat back. But personally I like the quad tip much more than the single cannon.

cobb tapers to 2.5 inch I think so you will have to get the more expensive cobb downpipe if you are planning to go turbo back. I am currently running full Invidia tuboback exhaust with their catted downpipe. Sounds great, not too loud, but with the downpipe adds a little extra pop and crack and volume compared to catback alone. Really it just comes down to how much you want to spend. The R400 is made for 2015+ so it won't fit on our gen. I would suggest to look on craigslist down there, you might be able to find full invidia turbo back for good deal. I found my catted downpipe on craigslist for 350 instead of 550 new.

Cat Back exhaust does not effect warranty. I got the exhaust when i had 3k miles on the car. now i have 20k miles and have been using my warranty a lot.

I heard if it causes the problem they can deny the claim. Also did you get this exhaust and would you recommend it over others

Rami Shaibani They can't prove that a cat back would cause the problem. Its just a cat back, technically the only difference between this one and the stock one is the diameter of piping, material, and the size of the tips. Nothing is added or taken away in terms of legal requirements. If you went with aftermarket down pipe in which the cat and other emission controls are changed and in which tuning is required then they can deny warranty. I love the exhaust, its a bit conservative (meaning it isn't the loudest). If your looking for louder then id recommend the n1, but i personally like the quad tip. If you are looking for louder quad tip than the q300, agency power makes a muffler-less cat back that looks identical to the q300, but muffler-less i believe isn't legal and that is pretty loud. Compared to the spt offered by subaru, I think the invidia q300 is far better in sound, looks, and price.

Rami Shaibani Personally, I don't like the look or sound of the n1. Yeah its louder and tip is bigger, but I'm not a fan of the single cannon exhaust look. The q300 is perfect for day to day driving, its definitely loud enough so that you can notice it inside. And out side it sounds great driving by, or in a tunnel. And if you want something a little louder, you could go with a carless down pipe (which you would need a tune, but you can expect some nice power gains), or with a muffler less catback. Whatever you choose will most likely sound great (along as u keep the unequal length headers). But as for how loud it is, or what it looks like, that is all personal preference.

your car does it too. its just a sensitive brake light.. if u apply light pressure, it blinks on and off because ur not applying enough brake pressure for it to be solid red.. kinda annoying for the people driving behind you though haha

This is kinda late, but I just learned why mine does that. All Arizona sold cars are equipped with a flashing brake light. I purchased my car in Arizona and drove it back to California because there were no limited wrb wrx hatches in california at the time. And in my opinion if your going to buy this car or any performance car you will look for the exact one you want. But yea so all Arizona sold cars have this feature. But it is an easy feature to manipulate, you can simply buy (or make) a simple signal splicer that you can wire into your brake light. In theory it would just cut the signal 3 times before it would come on as a solid light.

That's awesome! I just picked mine up 3 months ago with 7,000 miles and now it's almost at 10,000. All I can say is that I love the car but I can only drive it on weekends because I'm off to college.

No I ordered the hatch version. Why would you order the sedan version if you have a hatch?

i have an 08 and it only has one slot for an for an exhaust on the right. I'm guessing the newer ones are different. All the exhausts that i find online are single exit for the hatch, but the sedans have dual or single options.

Ryan Stephon Yea, the body style changed in 11. My gen WRX has a wider stance and same body style as an STI. The quad tip is standard on this gen. But 08-10 are different. Dual set up for sedan, and single for hatch. If I were you Id stick with parts specifically made for your car. If you wanted to however, you could get a quad tip, but you would need some custom bumper work. Go to rallysportdirect.com and put in your year and model. That way you will find all parts for your car.

No tune required with the cat back, and warranty should be fine as long as you stick with just a cat back. Currently I'm running turbo back and have a pro tune as my warranty has long expired.

I've heard that the stock sedans are louder.. but not proven. As for aftermarket I don't think so. I think the sedan is a tad longer than the hatch, which might play a slight role in sound. But in general they sound pretty much the same.

Bougie Imports It turns heads fur sure. Inside isn't that loud though, but catless down pipe will be much louder if you are willing. But you have to get tune with that which drives up the price. But Ive almost had the exhaust a year and I still love it. Best $1000 I've spent for sure!

No it bolts up perfectly with stock dp, you can even use the same gasket.
