Got goosebumps the moment Rollins used it in his entry against Reigns at the Royal Rumble last night. I got the feeling that Dean is coming back soon.

When Shield first debuted, Ambrose looked to be the unofficial leader of the Shield. Rollins and Ambrose had the accolades for being indy guys, while no one thought too much of Reigns because he looked to be incredibly green. But as they won the titles, Rollins and Reigns got a burst of popularity as they had the more energetic matches for the tag-team titles. Ambrose pretty much became the weird guy in the group since promos were far and between for the Shield, and the US title was rarely defended. Booking started to make Reigns look impressive, and he stood out alone. The booking with the Wyatts made Seth Rollins look like the odd one out as the Ambrose-Reigns tension grew. But the two matches with the Wyatts, showcased Rollin's abilities moreso than the matches with Bryan or Cena. In all, Ambrose has the best mic ability and facial expressions. Rollins is far away the best wrestler and high-flyer. Reigns has the best look and is seen as a very agile powerhouse with excellent momentum.

2013: Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns would form the Shield in 2012. A dominant force in the WWE as they wreck havoc on top stars like John Cena and The Undertaker 2014: The shield would turn face and have some memorable matches with Evolution down the road, Seth Rollins however would turn on both Reigns and Ambrose as a new run for these three men were born. Rollins would also win his first Money in the Bank match 2015: Roman Reigns would win his first Royal Rumble as he becomes the new face of the company, a few months later. Rollins would pull the biggest heist of the century as he cashes in his MITB contract on Reigns and Brock Lesner..becoming WWE Champion for the first time in his singles career and being the first one of the three to become champ, Rollins would have a dominant run as champ but an injury sidelined him as he was forced to vacant it. A match between Ambrose and Reigns would occur at Survivor Series of that year...where Reigns wins making it his first world title win. However he would lose it that same night as Sheamus would cash in his MITB contract on Reigns. 2016: These three men would at one point be WWE Champion in one night as Reigns walks in as Champ, Rollins wins the title but soon Ambrose would cash in his MITB contract and would be his first WWE world title win. The match would happen on Battleground 2016 where Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose would fight for the title. In the end Ambrose would retain the title and bring over to SmackDown as the revival of the brand split happened. Rollins would've had the chance to become the first ever Universal Champion, but that tagline belongs to Finn Balor. Roman would also win his first US title against Rusev 2017: Thanks to the Superstar Shake-Up. Ambrose would join Monday Night RAW, making all three men now on the same brand, later down the line Rollins and Ambrose would become a tag team as they would win the RAW Tag Titles as well...and then a force of The Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus, Braun Strowman, and Kane were formed as they would go after the three men...soon the time would come for them to reunite as an episode of RAW...we would witness Reigns, Ambrose, and Rollins reunite and reform the Shield once again. 2018: An injury would Sideline Ambrose for most of 2018, however, Seth Rollins would win the IC title on that years Wrestlemania, but soon loses it....but then it bounces back onto Roman Reigns giving his first win as the IC Champion. It wasn't until that years SummerSlam where we would see the return of Dean Ambrose...along with that Roman Reigns would win his first Universal title win against Brock Lesner on that night...however disaster struck as Roman Reign's Leukemia would strike again...forced to vacant the Universal title again. On that same night, Dean Ambrose would turn on Rollins and ending the Shields third run of dominance...and a very memorable heel turn. 2019: Seth Rollins would get his first Universal title win against Brock Lesner at that years Wrestlemania. It would also be the year that Dean Ambrose would leave the company....leaving many in total shock. However, a new wrestling promotion was in the rise called AEW featuring stars like Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega at the helm of it. It wasn't until the first PPV of AEW would we see the formerly known Dean Ambrose debut as Jon Moxley...as Jon Moxley has now been reborn. 2020: Moxkey would win his first AEW world title as he would go on to have a dominant run, however, Covid-19 would hit as it would halt both companies as they would have no audience members in attendance. Roman was written off TV for most of his 2020 year until SummerSlam of that year where he would return during a match between The Fiend Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman. He would align himself with Paul Heyman and would be his first heel run in the WWE since 2013. As for Rollins, he would have the gimmick of the messiah as he was a priest type of character with very malicious intent...this character would have decent matches with the likes of Drew McIntyre and Rey Mysterio to name a few. However on that years Survivor Series, Rollins would be written off TV due to him soon becoming a father. 2021: Currently, Roman Reigns is having the best years of his career with a dominant run as Universal Champion. Seth Rollins returned in that years Royal Rumble as he would have a new gimmick that brought back his sort of architect Persona back in 2014-2015, and Jon Moxley is currently in a sort of mid-card state with AEW, but he would win an IWGP title in the process I believe so. 2022: Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion since 2020 and has since gone on to have a 700+ day reign. Seth Rollins has been feuding with the likes of Cody Rhodes, Riddle, etc. However he is looking to dethrone Roman Reigns. Jon Moxley is currently the interin AEW World Champion and has been in a faction that consists of Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) and Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro)to name a few as they are called “Blackpool Combat Club” 2023: Roman Reigns is close to now reaching 1,000 days as the Undisputed Universal Champion, Seth Rollins is currently in the mid card having amazing matches with the likes of Logan Paul at Mania 39. And Moxley is currently having his first heel run in AEW along with Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnolli (formerly known as Cesaro. Seth is now also the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion! 2024: After 1,316 Days of being Champion, Roman Reigns was finally dethroned by Cody Rhodes at Mania 40, Seth Rollins also lost his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre at Mania 40 as well. Seth assisted Cody by playing this very theme because Roman hasn’t gotten over what Seth did to the shield 10 years ago. Jon Moxley would also capture the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, becoming the first wrestler to hold the WWE, AEW, and IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at some point in his career And that is the current story of The Shield.

I'm glad to say that I lived through the SHIELD era in WWE . Truly the last great faction they had and it's great to see that all three members became mega stars in their own right. The pure domination they had over WWE during 2012-2014 was unheard of since Evolution (who they beat). But man, what a time to be alive.
