Final NASCAR telecast ever for our late friend Steve Byrnes, who lost his battle with cancer less than a year later. RIP Byrnes 1959-2015; you'll be missed!

Dana Long this was his final Cup race, but he did call Cole Custer’s first truck win at Loudon in September 2014. That might have been his last NASCAR race

3:47-4:01 This race sadly turned out to be Steve Byrnes' last race as a NASCAR on FOX pit reporter. The Pocono Truck race turned out to be his last NASCAR race call ever. RIP Steve Byrnes

Also the last NASCAR Sprint ☕️ 🏁 on 🦊 for Krista Voda, who moved to rival NBC the following year, and the final ☝️ for Jeff Hammond, and the 2014 NASCAR Sprint ☕️ 🏁 at Dover marked the very last time Chris Myers would say these words, and I quote: "NASCAR on 🦊 is officially over in Dover." In other words, this was the beginning of a transition from 🦊/TNT/ABC/ESPN to 🦊/FS1/NBC/NBCSN the following season. Only Myers, the Waltrip brothers, McReynolds, Joy and Yocum would continue with NASCAR on 🦊 for the next season (with ESPN holdovers Vince Welch, Jamie Little and Andy Petree, who was gone after ☝️ season, and TNT holdovers Adam Alexander and Chris Neville, the latter of which was also gone after ☝️ season) and beyond while Voda would move to NASCAR on NBC v2.0 the next season with ESPN holdovers Dale Jarrett, Dave Burns and Mike Massaro (who would be gone after the first two seasons of the reboot) and TNT holdover Kyle Petty.

I go back and watch 2014 races after races that are bore fests. And the 2020 Coke 600 was one of them. So here I am.

How did Darrell Mike and Larry not notice in ANY of the footage of the last restart, that Kenseth go into the wall? Normally they go nuts if anyone even skims it!

To me, they replaced champions with cry babies. And attitude problems. Or ego problems. To me that doesn't make for an interesting race to watch. If I wanna see fights, hell I'll go to a fight channel. As for regular TV, there's cable shows for that sport. So settle down boys. You are expendable. Everyone of you are. You & your fans think you are not replaceable, but trust me, there's always someone just as good as any of you are, who wants to race NASCAR. SO...Don't forget that.
