KKB never looks at consumer complaints when they do a review. It's like they're talking about a different car. The trans is a headache and they know it..

I have a 2012 focus SEL which is now 10 years old. The best part is it hasn't rusted the way my friends corolla did after just 5 years.

I have this car to this day still with no issues but literally got turned down by every person on facebook market!! cause of the famous "transmission problem" which is funny cause mine still shifts correctly to this day. Even if its considered a "bad brand' its not the car most of the time it's the driver screwing the car up..... and thats facts

I miss mine. Just paid her off a year ago, other than the expected issues with the clutch and stuff that Ford recalled and fixed... she was a great car. Got into a nasty collision a week ago, she certainly did her job. Sadly, she gave her life to save mine and I have to say goodbye to her and I am heartbroken. The engineering of this car was excellent!!! Despite the severity of the collision (the front of my car is about 2' behind where it normally is) the effect on the rest of the car is minimal. I walked away from the accident with only some bruises and burns on my arms from the airbags. I am very tempted to replace her with another, but I never know what I will get in doing so. I knew my car and took excellent car of her and while the maintenance was very minimal, I always kept up on it. It is sad. Such a waste. Only half way through her life and perfectly good, well running, extremely reliable and nice car to drive. If I replace her with a used one, who knows. It certainly won't necessarily be the same as the car I was driving. I wish Ford had not screwed up on getting too fancy with the transmission. The concept was well meaning but they just didn't get it right. Other than that, it is a very nice car. I have been seeing them everywhere, today at my dad's house, the exact same car as mine came down the street and turned around in the driveway. My heart was racing. I had said when getting there to visit for father's day how weird it was not seeing my car there and then i see the same type of car and can't help but feel like I am looking at my own. Anyway... I miss my Focus.

Found a 2014 focus hatch with sports package, select shift, and ST spoiler and in Performance Blue. Nice car! Has the full works inside. Two more days! Also, it's interesting how so many people think this car is crap, when everyone I talked to that owns one has never had problems or outright hated it. Interesting...

After getting into an accident (not my fault) I ended up with this car as a rental. I find it really hard to believe this has a dual-clutch. For the most part it seems to shift ok, but it feels like a slushbox. I'd say the ride is overall pretty smooth but the problem is the seats are very hard, which lowers ride comfort.

My cousin owns a 2015 model, his milage is currently 12.000 KM and its pretty good, never had a problem, never took it to the service stop, nothing. (His daily commute was 70 km for about 2-4 months, Lived in parents house, uni 70 km away) it's a pretty good car. Espically for the price! If I needed a car I'd buy it personally

If they weren't afraid to point out flaws, they would have mentioned how the MyFord Touch system dragged Ford from 5th to 22nd place in JD Powers initial quality. This is quite near and dear to me as a very short-lived former owner of a 2012 Focus Ti Hatch who quickly got rid of the car because it was CONSTANTLY in the shop for every conceivable electronic gremlin possible. Great car, terrible electronics. Don't get MFT!!

I leased a Titanium about a year ago and it was so hideously unreliable the dealership bought it back and I got a Fusion Sport instead. The Focus so great until you start living with them and MyFord Touch starts having a mind of its own. I installed the new version and even after that I had a new module put in and that STILL didn't fix it. The car was hopeless and I love my Fusion Sport. Not sad about not getting the 2013 model because I simply don't trust the latest and greatest from Ford

We bought a 2013 5speed manual used one last night for my son. Seems like a great starter car for the price. Seems solidly built, decent materials, peppy with the 160hp 2 liter, and nice layout...He seems pretty happy...time will tell how reliable it is...but many problems in cars are brought on by owners themselves who don't maintain the car properly, or treat them like shit and are surprised they break...anyway...nice car. Was looking at anothe VW rabbit, but the 5cylnder isn't as good on gas and is less powerful...VWs are made well though and we like the hatchback layout

My mom has a 2017 Ford Focus SEL with son y audio system 10 speaker with subwoofer in the trunk. HD radio with Satelite radio, sync 3, back up camera, rear sensing system, voice activated navigation, LED lighting, and fog lights, and also has the 2.0L GDI engine with 160HP. The car has good power and we love ours. Has the silver and black painted 17” rims and a sunroof. And we average 32 mpg. The car came with dual zone climate. Everything for $22,845. and we got it for 17,000$ for being a Ford customer and having incentives.

I have a weird focus with the sync radio , window rollers in the back and steel wheels. NO CRUISE. Why do the other countries get a sony radio without nav. in a non titanium trim and us americans get this funky radio. I even like the Europe sync voice better.

I used to have a 2010 Ford Focus and loved it however it sadly turned out to be a lemon. I now found a newer 2014 Ford Focus but given my history with fords being a lemon I’m hesitant to buy. But I have been asking ppl I know that have it and they said they loved it and it’s a lot better than the older models so I really don’t know but the sedan has really good mileage and a good overall price given the year. I might just go and buy it!

Have a 2014 Ford Focus bought it brand new off the lot. Transmission has blew out twice already and I’m dumping it ASAP. Only put 80,000 not only did the transmission f up twice but many other problems with brakes, engine, and the list goes on. Worst car I’ve ever had.

If you bought the automatic I feel sorry for you. 30,000 miles on my '15 5 speed and zero problems.

The focus was such a well equipped, compact, stylish vehicle. Ford really botched this car with the dual clutch automatic transmission. I have a 2018 Focus SEL 5 door. It has automatic lights, "rain lights", ambient lighting in the front passenger footwell with enough light Color choices, and a decent sized touch screen as well as dual zone automatic climate control.

I think if Kelly is going to review the Focus, then do a complete and honest review. There are very few Focus owners that have the newer Focus. The one's with the Dual Clutch Transmission, that do not experience pain. The pain of constantly dealing with transmission problems. It's a disgrace Ford has been allowed to sell these cars. I think the ones built from 2010 to 2014 are the one's with the worst problems. I'm assuming that is when Ford introduced the DCT. I hate this car and wish I never bought it. Then you find your stuck with it, because you have a loan on it.

I have a 2012 focus and that thing is a hunk of shit. Non-stop transmission issues since day one and I've had TWO replacement transmissions and gear clutch packs so far. It looks to currently be revving up for the third replacement even though the last replacment is only 900 miles old. Ford really fucked me over on my first car and the car only has 60000 miles on it.

Please, nobody buy this car. It will be the biggest mistake of your life. Especially first time cars buyers. Just stay away from the Focus or Ford in general. The transmissions in these things are a money pit. Very un-reliable.

This car sucks. The TCM keeps crapping out resulting in stalling and the inability to reverse. This is the second TCM replacement that Ford has to do on this car. I’d recommend not to get it
