Chicken manure: amzn.to/3EmhJLN
Hey guys sorry its been a while since Ive posted a video. I started a new job thats kicking my butt and Im just way to tired on my days off to do anything. I had a lot of weeds coming up so I buckled down and tilled everything up and now it has officially started, 2014 Garden Season is underway. Im so excited I hope y'all are to.

It's amazing how you got your garden in shape again. Here in northwestern Europe we've been having a perfect growing season with rain and sunshine coming at appropriate times. We hardly had any winter at all while you were having terrible weather. My sweet corn and runner beans are already quite high and coming along fine after two days of gentle rains.

Grandpa Jude said. Get a 1 pound can from coffee ,put 3 holes 1 inch above the bottom around the can .Add 3 inches of sand 3 inches of chicken poop ,then 1 inch sand hopefully still have a few inches to water .Plant melon seeds 1-3" from the water holes coming from the cans. Thanks for the teaching Sir

Nice to see you outdoors again! Gardening can be a real chore sometimes. I am toying with the idea of forgetting about it for a season and spending some time at the lake instead. Glad you're forging ahead!

I definitely missed your videos, I'm in the southern part of NC so I've found them to be really helpful. This winter did run a little long so I feel like I'm planting late too. Please don't give up! :)

Better late then never. Too bad you couldn't get your friends to help with the weeding. But you did a great job on your own. I am looking forward to seeing your harvest this year.

How about weeding for fresh veggies? They may line up to help...oh how I wish. Weeding can be a chore - but my strategy is not to look to far ahead. I focus on the weeds in front of me, and am not so overwhelmed. Then I can be happy with all that I got done. My beds have many weeds this year. With our cold winters and then relentless spring rain hard to get motivated to get out there. But I am slowly winning the battle. I am even trying to grow okra this year. - I have started them in pots in my greenhouse. It will be a treat ..since I live in the pacific Northwest.

This is a very Good video. I do things just a little different I used to get weeds similar to that. I stopped killing and I stopped getting as many weeks. But when I did get them in large numbers I'll use them in the compost pile. Before they go to seed. They make great fertilizer I use everything.how much did he charge you for the chicken manure? Keep it video,coming

Completely understandable! This year (2020) our last frost (zone 6) was May 2nd. It put us behind, and as soon as we were able to sow everything, we got hit by record high temps. It's now August 22 and it's 90 degrees! Everything is coming along but the hot weather makes it difficult to weed consistently. Some of our weeds are massive so I feel your pain. Next year, I hope to implement some kind of weed barrier or control. I was noticing that your garden has lovely plants without much or any pest damage. Besides heat and weeds, we also got hit by Japanese beetles. Any suggestions. We tried companion gardening and even that didn't deter them. 🙁😒

I started doing raised beds and don’t have to worry about any weeds at all. As far as bugs go I usually just spray them with dish soap water if they happen to cause problems but I haven’t had many problems since I went to raised beds
@mariboni516

@@usc529 ah ha! That could be the solution! We turned a portion of our backyard into a garden. I think when it was tilled it must have unearthed something because we've never had so many beetles on one season. I may have to look into raised beds in addition to beneficial nematodes.
