Thank you! Make sure you come see the Juget-Sinclair late 2024 here in Richmond, Virginia. The choir and continuo are already here, the gallery is yet to come. It will be the largest organ they’ve made. I’m sure the organist, Daniel Sáñez, would love to have you see it.

I attended both of those recitals - it’s a thrilling instrument to hear in a stunning room! According to Juget-Sinclair’s website, they had to do some very creative engineering to cantilever the organ over the gallery since the original instrument was in side chambers.

Always love hearing Juget-Sinclair organs as a fan of French-Romantic organs myself. It was great getting to hear this organ with so much variety in color for the space it’s in.

What a wonderful organ! There is clearly some great craftsmanship here. Please remember that some poor chap has to tune these pipes! I get PTSD looking at the tightly packed positiv chest!

Hi Brent and Jordan. A wonderful and very diverse organ, another masterwork by Juget-Sinclair. I believe this is the third or fourth Juget-Sinclair organ you have explored. All are superb and well-crafted organs, beautiful and rich tones. Also masterful in having distinct tones for similar stops, like the trumpets. Wow to have a full reed chorus and Cornet on each manual of this organ. Thank you.

That Fourniture is right out of Dom Bédos! The octave breaks on tenor F and middle F give it away.

The Cathedral organ is in a desperate state. I am strongly considering JS above all other factories for a rebuild, next level instrument.

What a beautiful organ. The Bombarde 32' was quite pleasing in my mind as it sounded like it had a good dose of fundamental tone. Does using wood instead of metal produce greater fundamental but less overtones?

Thanks! Wooden resonators may have a subtle impact on the warmth of the sound, but the Bombarde of the Pédale is rounder mainly due to the plated shallots. I guess you could say it's more of a Bombarde/Trombone hybrid. (a Trombarde?)

It is interesting that a former organist of Christ-the-King was the Belgian-born Noël Goemanne, who had been imprisoned for a month by the Nazis during their occupation of Belgium for defying the law by publicly playing the music of Felix Mendelssohn, who was, of course, Jewish.

Check your settings or whatever you are listening on because that audio for me is certainly not on a mono channel

@@DrpanProductions The organ sounds mono for me, as well (using earbuds), so I was looking for a comment like what the OP posted. All the other videos I've seen on this channel sound stereo.

I know it's a French organ, and some French baroque repertoire is nice. But I think every organist who watched this must be thinking, "OK, so when are you going to cut loose? Some Mulet, some Widor, Reger, or Durufle? How about a bug hymn?" But no, just mostly using only about 30% of the organ at a time, and not much more. Frustrating and disappointing.

I've noticed this about most of the demo videos on this channel. Rarely do we get full organ for more than a few seconds, if at all, or even divisional tutti demos.
